That would be the makings of a decent and experienced backline. A lot of midfielders.
The other one that drifts around is Josh Tengblad returning to Auckland.

Off to MLR first with the Legion. He has some SR experience too with the Force. A 1st 5.

@MacDazzler Who is he?
@UpTheHarbs 1st five eighth 6ft4 96kg. Hamilton Boys 10 in 2017 and played for the Force via Warringah in the Sydney Club Comp last year.
Believe he's in the US at the moment and has also played in Japan previously.

I think No 10 was a bit of a problem position for Harbour last year with Pellegrini missing most of the season due to Tongan international duty, leaving Oscar Koller and Cam Howell to cover the role for the rest of the season.
This move definitely adds a bit more depth to our squad for this year, especially while we're still working through a rebuild.

I have seen that Karl Ruzich from North Harbour was playing for Nelson Marist rugby club in the sevens tournament so he could be an option for the Mako?

Was just a one off for the sevens as an additional player. Hunter Rice also played for them so perhaps a mutual coaching connection from Harbour that has moved to Nelson Marist

Northampton outside back James Raam has signed with Northland for the 2026 Bunnings Npc season
Really good pick up for the Taniwha heading to the Force for the 2027 super season
Was a Wallaby U20 player in 2018 and won the club player of the year for Northampton in the 22-23 season -

@Landers92 he’s a good player just had some bad injuries that held him back
skill set is superb and has pace
That’s the problem with us down this end of the world we don’t know of players plying their trade in the NH until we see them first hand . -

Nice pick-up.
Seen a few highlights.
Wonder if that means he is in wob contention this year. -

Heremaia Murray still in play for the Taniwha as well not getting any game time for the Reds atm -
I suspect Otago will try and go after a halfback or try and get Nathan Hastie back. No pledger will drop this team from a top teo squad to struggling to make the play offs.
The big thing with NPC is a rop draw play makes or breaks a season.

Not entirely happy with us bringing players from outside like this, although if he turns to be quality people forget quickly.
I do know the bar for an imported wing was left very, very low, in fact below ground level after last year's disaster with Balekana.

haha yeah balekana
I have actually heard of raamI do recall northland once having two world class local midfields on their list at the same time
and not sure that they were ever on the field at the same time (goodhue/ranger) ???it's so f'd up nowadays
the NRU budget must be a limiting factor for importing players tho, and they do seem to be operating it quite well
dont hear much talk of budget blowoutsBalekana was a Martin thing for sure; the NRU should be able to use that against him now, if he wants to try something similar again
