I think we have the captains around the wrong way. Withy as the decision maker and Jim as the follow me guy.

I’m not sure Withy is that guy at all. Doesn’t have the temperament. We need someone who is cool, calm, and collected and can communicate well. I look around that team and don’t see anyone that fits that description

There isn't one. Which is what you'd expect in a team with an average age or 23. You make do. Or you slap it to someone youngish, or a holder like Renton. The problem is the experienced guys are not close to the beat players in their position. I see Oli Haig as a captain. I'm not sure who else.

Being pushed into being a provincial captain at 22?
I thought his leadership at Southland was pretty solid last year.

Nareki is still being his slippery self. But he's last a fair bit of speed. Was absolutely gased by Sam Gilbert in that kick chase
