@Bones I found out this week that Alan Hewson (bro Kevvy was the EB 80 80 coach for years) is Zach Gallagher’s great uncle. A bit of a size difference there.

One of my best mates is another nephew and Alan was my landlord when I first moved out of home.

@Bones A Petone legend. Chairman of the Cricket and the Rugby club at some point or other. Allan Hewson used to own an office supply business too, perhaps he still does?

Yeah Kevvy is also involved in that. Kevvy used to be a business partner with my old man but then went over to the office supply business.

Laidlaw made a good point that the Canes were under advantage when Proctor threw that pass. The ref never said advantage over so it should have been brought back. Maybe why Proctor chanced his arm in the first place.

Despite the Canes performance tonight I still don’t think Aumua, Lomax and Roigard are anywhere the top of their game. Hopefully they can hit the ground running after the bye.

                Bloody shame to lose Naholo.

@Canes4life Roigard's option taking/timing is off. He's just not seeing the game like he used to (or not as agile to take advantage of it).

It might just be a case of teams putting numbers on him so not as much space as last year but he does look a little off and not as confident.

Larkham said the Brumbies centred their game last week around shutting Roigard down which I guess created space out wide as a result.

Yep, big learning from last year is we peaked too soon and fizzled out.

Well I'm fucking salty but only at my own team, seen some fuckwits blaming the ref on Instagram but Christ not even the hubble space telescope can reach as far as that. Not really sure what to say other than Jacomb, Carter, Tupaea, Stevenson and Taukei'aho were all shit. Saders win 13+ next weekend. If the Wahs also lose I'm not sure I'll be able to show face at work on Monday.

Ruben Love is getting better at 1st Five week after week. I think there are now three options for the All Blacks in this key position. Despite their errors (the missed tackle on Rona and the intercepted pass), I wouldn't mind having Higgins and Proctor as a midfield combo for the All Blacks. They are the best for creating space for the wingers. Imagine Caleb Tangitau outside them !

Geez, I reckon Roigard is best 9 in the comp. He would be my pick in any of the teams.

No surprise Kirifi involved in an off the ball incident targeting the head.
