Only change to the starting XV from last weekend for the Highlanders is Cam Millar in at 10 and Robinson drops out(assuming this is due to his groin injury last weekend).

DLB for Bartlett on the bench and Gilbert comes in as back cover.

I'd love to see the Landers get up for this one. Not because I have anything against the Chiefs who are one of the better teams to watch in the comp, but because a win on the back of their last 2 performances would do the young blokes in the side a world of good going into the off season.

Have heard it is foot - not groin. Hopefully not something like a metatarsal, but it seemed to be non-contact?

Plenty to play for for both sides here - Landers playing to avoid the spoon, and Chiefs playing to secure top spot.

My hope for the weekend: Sam Gilbert wins us the game with a drop goal… having lost on full-time 2x this year + missed 2x kicks (Millar and Gilbert DG against the Canes) we are so due.

Would be full circle. Gilbert’s first Highlanders game was the first game of Super Rugby Aotearoa… the Highlanders winning 28-27 on the back of a Gatland drop goal. We have not beaten the Chiefs in Dunedin since.

Geez, McMillan likes rotating players. I thought that ENS might be selected for this game.

The task is simple as the Chiefs only need to win, and don't need to be chasing a bonus point.

Excited to see the battle of the locks and seeing him Holland goes up against Vaa’i and Lord. Mainly Lord as they could be fighting for the same spot in the ABs.

Some pretty decent defence from the highlanders. Chiefs just on another level.

ENS with a late run for a call up. Another outside back made for test rugby I reckon.
