He’s been the same for 3 years. Does that mean it started 3 years ago? He’s got big hit potential, just wish it were on other forwards or midfielders as well

Sure, but it's easier on obvious plays where you can get that momentum. And yet none of our other players are doing it.

What makes it pointless?

Hitting a ten that easily gets the ball away while taking yourself out of the defence and 20 metres behind the play isn't the greatest win. Probably not a big deal when it's just a training run anyway, but doesn't add much.

Au contraire - it makes them stand deeper, giving your defence more time. It can also make them nervous too so sneak a quick look and knock on.
