I've no strong views on who I want to win this one. So good luck to both teams and fingers crossed there will be no injured All Blacks afterwards.

Pretty good odds on the Blues. They lost by 3 points in their last game against the Chiefs.

    @brodean

    1 point wasn't it? 32-31 in Hamilton

That was the closest anyone has gotten to beating the Chiefs at their home this year. The next best was the Reds losing (27-15)

If you're a Canes supporter, you want the Chiefs to win.

@Canes4life Yeah your lot have really struggled against the Blues. I can see why you want them out of the comp

We played you twice with very understrength teams, the Canes are a much better proposition now. I'd back us to beat you if it came down to it, but yes of course I'd rather have a guaranteed semi-final, while seeing the Aucklanders drop out. 🙂

This match will be a doozy though, and I won't be surprised at all if the Blues were able to win this.

colour me surprised that the same bloke has turned a Chiefs v Blues thread in to talking about the fucking Canes. Yellow and black virus.

Not happy with the Tahs playing the friggen Blues back in to form right on the eve of this. I still expect to win, but it's a less easy proposition than when Eden Park was under some very murky clouds

You had most of your key persona, we clearly didn't. It would be a totally different game if they played now.

There's no surprise the Canes turned their season around when a lot of those key guys came back, you just got lucky we were well down on firepower for the first half of the season.

Anyway, does it matter? Likelihood of these two sides playing each is little to none.

If you can read I wasn't the one that turned it into a Canes v Blues debate. My initial response was to Sparky.

Hello Chiefs fan. A Blues fan here. Do you have any thoughts on the Canes amazing form and inevitable title win?

We weren't irrelevant when we clobbered you a few weeks back and sent you back to Hamilton with your tail between your legs.

AI summary of thread: the Blues are playing the Chiefs but it is all irrelevant because the Canes are 15 Chuck Norris(es) with Terminator T1000 skeletal frames. They never lose, they just sometimes are "understrength".

    Actually...

This forum thread, initially about the Chiefs vs. Blues quarter-final match, quickly devolves into a heated debate about the Hurricanes (Canes).

The discussion begins with a neutral wish for a good game and no All Black injuries. However, it quickly shifts when a user, Canes4life, suggests that Hurricanes supporters would want the Chiefs to win. This sparks a back-and-forth with Duluth about the Hurricanes' past struggles against the Blues and their performance with "understrength" teams.

The conversation then veers significantly off-topic, with mariner4life expressing frustration that the Chiefs vs. Blues thread has become a discussion about the Hurricanes, coining the term "Yellow and black virus." This leads to further jabs between the users, with Canes4life and ploughboy debating whether the Hurricanes' past wins against other teams "count" if those teams were "under strength."

The thread is summarized humorously by nostrildamus as: "the Blues are playing the Chiefs but it is all irrelevant because the Canes are 15 Chuck Norris(es) with Terminator T1000 skeletal frames. They never lose, they just sometimes are 'understrength'."
