Does anyone feel another home semi is too much of an advantage for Chiefs?
Not only do they get a second life they get a home game
I feel if you lose you should have another life but go to the bottom of the pack.
-
I can’t argue with that.
You could see that loss coming from all the missed opportunities in the first half.
It felt a bit like Oct 31st 1999.
I’m just so fucking fucking furious about that kick for goal. I know it’s not the only important play but it was already so obvious that territory was more important than points at that stage.
-
Poor quality but decent contest, heaps of the Fern's favourite players choked it at key moments on both sides.
I'm pretty happy facing either of those sides next week, would have preferred the Chiefs mainly for the waaaahing the fans make when they lose like in 2023.
-
Anyone else feel like the Chiefs blew it with the 'up the guts' game plan playing into the Blues strengths?
They still probably would have got over the line if not for the injuries, but kudos to the Blues and their desperation to keep the season alive.
Messy game, would have been a mediocre watch if not for the tension. -

Yep, dumb decision. Should have kept the Blues down their own end.

If you thought tonight was poor quality, I’d hate to know what you classify last nights dud

Rewards for being top seed I guess, which I have no complaints with.

Cantabs don't like the Blues.

Yeah we’ve all known the rules since the start of the season so can’t complain.

Just looking at that last try again. A hell of an effort from Beehre
I'm surprised that he gets so little attention from the media. It's all about Holland. Beehre should be in the conversation for the ABs.
Beehre is a gun aye. Has he just come back?

Been starting ahead of LM for most of the year. Cotter mentioned last week that he was a bit banged up after all the minutes
-
Funny how this season has gone aye. Blues lose to Moana, Chiefs smack Moana by 80 points and then Blues beat Chiefs.

Not sure. He didn't start last week, but I can't remember if he came off the bench or not.

I think the only choking from the Chiefs really was the decision to kick for goal.
The Blues were pretty lucky to escape with the win so don't see why any team would feel comfortable playing the Chiefs now, who will also go into every match with a massive point to prove.

Blues players don't get a lot of love in fairness. Beehre has been one of our best but Holland gets all the wraps (no dig on Holland btw), AJ Lam has been a shining light for a few seasons now, but hardly anyone knows who he is because Tavatavanawai gets most of the love (a decent player too), Fusitu'a has had a massive season but people still barely know who he is.
Social Media and the media themselves barely give Blues players a mention, unless it's having a go at Rieko Ioane, BB, how lazy Hoskins Sotutu apparently is, and maybe Caleb Clarke because he's a nice guy, that's it.

Also has to be noted that the Chiefs lost their captain before kick-off, plus Simon Parker and Josh Lord during the match, and ended up having a midfielder on the flank and a first five in the midfield.
If the injuries are only short-term and Tupaea returns next week, they'll be an even more formidable side.

I'm not complaining for this year
I'm saying should it be looked at for next year
The reward should be a second life
Not a second life and a home semi
