Brumbies v British & Irish Lions
-
Better attack from the Brumbies.
Lions almost flufffed it in the in goal.
5m scrum to Brumbies.
-
Try time Brumbies. All too easy there.
Lions defence caught ball watching.
-

Have we had a single high tackle called?
-
Maul too good. Lions in again.
-
Brumbies drive away and finally get to the line after multiple Lions penalties.
36-22 Brumbies. Kick to come.
-
36-24 Lions.
-
No try. Score stays at 36-24.
Good hit out for the Lions against what was going to be their toughest game in the lead up to the test matches.
Wallabies should take note of flooding the breakdown. When accurate it was pretty effective against the Lions.
Lions interchange and quick hands was superb. Creating overlaps and space.

Ref awards it. TMO coverage shows that a try could possibly have been scored, certainly not clear/obvious held up but decides to revoke it anyway after 2-3 mins.
Has no consequence on anything at all. This game hates itself sometimes.
Certainly didn’t look obvious that he had grounded it initially. So not sure why the ref called it.
-
@ACT-Crusader AGree. But he did call it. Thus, the TMO needs to be 100% sure it hasn't been scored to over rule it. I didn't see 100%.
-
@MajorRage but this ref had been pretty random all night….

Especially as on a previous time where he’d called “no try” to the Lions but checked. Nothing clear or obvious either way and he stays (rightly) with his call.

A cold Wednesday night in a shithole stadium in a shithole town. The things I do to provide you with a report from the ground.
Lions predictable winners. But made to work hard for it against a gutsy effort from a bunch of no-names and a couple of debutants.
JGP was very, very average. In comparison to Mitchell he looks decidedly third rate. As does Bundee Aki. On form Farrell would have to have an aneurysm to select them for the first Test. Lowe not much better - does he know he can dive at the line?
Chessum went well. Curry was invisible from the stands.
Ryan Lonergan should be a Wallaby. How Schmidt prefers Nic White beggars belief.
