I wonder if the Argies will try and expose Steward’s one on one tackling rather than put up contestable kicks. He will swallow those up all day, whereas he has the turning circle of an aircraft carrier.

@Dodge Underhill is certainly in that conversation. He was immense in the last game.
It's infuriating where we are with genuine open sides currently. For years we had a real dearth of genuine 7s and had a succession of guys who "could do a job". Now we have Underhill, Curry x2, Pollock, Earl, Pepper.
Like bloody London buses.

Our back row is genuinely stacked at the moment as long as Willis is fit - he was incredible last week. Happen to think he's the best 8 in the home nations too, but understand he hasn't been doing it for long enough to book his seat on the Lions tour
If only we could get Jack Willis back in the mix too.
Seems to go in cycles, I assume we will end up with a glut of centres in about 3 years since we've been so short there for a while.

Agree re Wills T although he has the weirdest running gait I've seen for a while.
We're pretty well looked after at 6 too (though that's rarely been a problem), with Hill, Tom Curry, CCS, Chessum and several more waiting in the wings. As you say, find some centres and we might be looking like a good team.

How old is Gomez Kodela ? He must be the oldest player on the international scene. I guess he is in his forties now. Fortunately for the Argies, they have a young gun coming in and who will be a superstar very soon (Tomas Rapetti). He has all the attributes to become the best THP in the world.

A really entertaining first half with both sides playing pacey, ball in hand rugby. England’s poor line out and handling errors releasing pressure often though. Second half was less interesting with both sides showing fatigue and continuity getting buggered up by all the replacements. Too much kicking and little intent from either side. England with possession and territory but with a mislaid cutting edge to go with it. Argentina struggling to get out of their half. Heading for a dull draw but England nicked it with a last minute try when for once they didn’t kick it away.
Offside line optional all through the game.

Excellent result, excellent series.
Tough, tough watch on TV with the sun & shade though

How on earth did this happen? A weakend Argentina team beat the Lions at away and then proceed to lose at home to an England side sans-Lions players...
Make it make sense lol
Argentina rotated out a lot of their squad for this series. They didn't use a full-strength team.

More Latin disrespect.
