Love trying too hard. Soft loss of possession there and he killed a try scoring chance with a low percentage pass that went to the opposition

    7-7 at HT

He did a flick pass to Punivai, forgot he wasn’t a teammate in this game.

It annoys me that our 10s feel the need to do all this razzle dazzle shit, what happened to valuing intelligent clinical play?

Hopefully Harkin comes on early in the second and Love goes into 10. Just think we are missing a little pace at 10 and 12 to trouble Canterbury.

I’ve also found out Higgins won’t play for Wellington this year. He’s having/had surgery on his leg.

He needs to do away with the Campese-style goose step. Very predictable.

Disappointing Love didn't catch, or make ground on, the old man there.

Concerning is going a bit far. McNicholl showed in Super Rugby he still has genuine wheels

Christie has shaded Lakai which also a concern given the latter is highly rated

Wellington aren’t going to do much this year with JGB, Savea and Proctor in the midfield. Definitely showing they have too many runs in the legs.

Really missing the zip from last year. Harkin has to start going forward. The fact he’s not on the field yet is baffling.

Harkin got shafted last year as well. He starts for the Canes. He should be starting for Welly easily.

It's completing the triangle of ridiculous 10 decisions this year - each player has separately been involved in the other two decisions

Garden Bachop over Pellegrini for Moana Pasifika

Cameron over Love/Harkin axis for Canes

Garden Bachop over Harkin for Wellington

Canterbury defence was the key factor for me
Lions had more than enough ball to pressure Canterbury
Tom Christie the outstanding player on the paddock lost count on how many tackles he made 3 turnovers to throw in as well
    3rd upset in 3 games
    Npc continuing to deliver
