Going to be very interesting to see how Simon Parker goes.

@sparky as the ABs are managing his rehab, he is apparently limited to 40 mins

@Duluth said in Taranaki v Northland:

    1 Jared Proffit
    2 Bradley Slater
    3 Reuben O'Neill
    4 Fiti Sa
    5 Josh Lord

Very solid tight 5 at this level. You'd imagine they'll go very well at scrum and maul time. Might not be the most mobile unit, though, so that might be at least one area where players like Renata, Craig and Caird have the upper hand.

@Mauss I havent checked the odds, but have to think 'naki will be one of the faves, and will at least be there at the business end of the season.

Chris Apoua apparently ruled out, Corey Te Whata-Colley onto bench, be his first game back for Northland after an achilles injury in 2023, is a player I have always rated, lose a fraction at scrumtime but gain a bit of physicality

    Corey's a big boy isn't he? Can't imagine you'll lose much.

5-0 - but I've had a bit too much beer, not sure I'll see this game through
Fucking love the fact that it's even an option though - FloRugby for the win

Marshall doesn't understand what the word "undermining" means.
Presumably meant "underlining"? Or was that me simply mis-hearing?

I don't mind rugby at this level... it's just fun.
(And the good guys are winning... that obviously helps)

Northland needs to improve their kicking game. JRK is getting ball with very little pressure on him

    That's right fluffy-bunnies, you don't maul-try against the Naki.
    Do your own research.

Refs have been very generous on not straight line outs this weekend

    13-3.

Too much poor kicking and handling from us.

Expected us to concede in that last few as we often do, so score reasonable reflection i guess.

I'd like to see him get more involved but Fiti Sa looks much more physical this year as a ball-carrier.
