Boks have been smelling their own farts for a while now. Should be a good game next week

@W32 yep. Like the ABs with the sweeping sheds videos, the Boks (or their media team) have been giving similar vibes.

    Needed this to reset.

Joe Schmidt seems to be living on pre Farrell Ireland reputation.. hasn’t added much to any team he’s been involved with since then, and Ireland have been better under Farrell. A bit like Plumtree. Posers

@JayCee The Blues should be paying him as much as possible to just be an analyst.

I had to briefly unblock W32 to witness the tears, that's how good this is.

As for all the reasonable Bok fans, Smuts etc, the ABs had off days too and I am pretty sure the Boks will smack them next week.

Why did Lubbock start. Aren't Pollard and Feinberg Zulu better options?

Imminently beatable. Amongst their arsenal are such diverse weapons as:
                                  the maul and scrum
                                  Arendse (5 from 2) and
Fassi and Moodie (each 1 from 1)

Also shouldn’t forget the hot hand of Edwill van der Merwe (5 tries in 3 tests for the Boks) aaargh …

Imminently beatable. Their ever-expanding arsenal is easily underestimated but contains such diverse weapons as:
                                  the maul and scrum
The tryscoring threats of Arendse (5 from 2), Fassi and Moodie (each 1 from 1)
Along with the hot hand of Edwill van der Merwe (5 tries in 3 tests for the Boks)
To say nothing of two-time and current world player of the year PSDT

                                  Bugger.

They are beatable if you can nullify their many and diverse threats.

Great performance by the Wallabies. Once they adjusted to the Springbok attack, their drift defence worked really well, just soaking up those SA wide attacks and isolating ball carriers. Best game of Fraser McReight’s career, I’d say, even with that weak tackle effort for Kolisi’s try.

South Africa, on the other hand, were very naïve in the way they attacked, with very little care for numbers or support. If they’re going to continue with this game plan, then you’d feel they need to thoroughly rejuvenate this side. Players like Etzebeth, De Jager and Marx looked spent after half an hour. Then again, I think this whole attacking Bok game plan is just one giant smoke screen for the 2027 World Cup, anyway.

Libbok might have just played his last Test match. Willemse will probably get another shot but some of his tackling at fullback was really poor. It’ll be interesting to see how the Boks respond. After playing wide like this against the Irish in the first July Test of 2024 (and only just getting away with it), they went back to their direct game plan, which ended up backfiring as well, since the Irish won the second Test. I’m expecting they’ll try the same thing here, so the Wallabies will need to front up in Cape Town. Big game for big Will.

Once Wobblies got outside Boks inside out defence it was easy pickings.

A number of Boks looked like they’d bulked up at expense of stamina over 40m.

Rassie pays price for picking a B+ team.

                                          Backline lacked nous.
