Auckland v Northland

@SouthernMann I've always believed confidence plays its part, particularly in a younger side.
-
@SouthernMann I blame the coach.
At least Tito-Harris is shining. Much needed points before halftime.
-
There are structural factors that mean while the Auckland region produces a lot of NZ's Rugby talent, many players prefer to be based away from Auckland for lifestyle and financial reasons.
But the reason this team is sooooooo bad is down to coaching. Steven Bates has made lots of bad decisions with this squad.

It is odd. These are in theory some of the most talented young players in the country. Is there a lack of experience around them. What is the impact of being in a poor performing twam as well? Some of the recruitment decisions are a bit odd too. Guys like Arscott, Hartford, Cribb, Allen just don't make a lot of sense.

Well, as a Northland fan, a 26-5 lead over Auckland ain't enough...Auckland still have some weapons in the backs, so we need to keep attacking and score.first.
-
Costly YC, still 3 mins and 2 tries...Auckland def using the man advantage with some width
-
Awesome to see Tangitau back and carving up
-
Here we go....

Just gotta give it to him in space.

It's some of Auckland's SR players that aren't leading from the front.
I don't know how Ta'avao is still a professional player.
-
Nice hospital pass from Rico Simpson too. Amazing how they make a decision to exacerbate the pressure.
-
Right decision that time
-
I can breath now
-
Surely Bates' tenure is now untenable?

Funaki and Lam were poor in the 1st half too.

Congrats Taniwha.
Wish we could dig up the old thread from that 2008 match.
I believe only the 6th win at Eden Park for Northland / Nth Auckland in 90 years.
