I agree, but at the same time Hooper, Valetini, Wiliams, and Frost have done nothing wrong.

LSL should have maybe done some good tiptoeing earlier in the year.

The counter argument would be that without Skelton the may be lacking for bulk and power - see Lions test 1 and second half Lions test 2.

@JA be interesting to see if that continues or reverts to the mean.

My sense is that their charmed relationship with whistleblowers this year has been unrelated to their discipline/accuracy.

@Smuts Interesting. It's a small sample size for this year so it's possible but I do think their breakdown work is more proficient. It's bloody hard to find decent stats on the overall penalty counts though - like average per team per year. (I feel like we're trending in the wrong direction.)

    Interesting take.

You could argue they got a bit of a raw prawn in Lions 2 and Boks 2 for certain decisions. Not sure where the "charmed" bit comes from.

@JA agree that the sample size is small.

Also it’s difficult to get beyond vibe when looking at a side’s actual v expected penalty count in a match/area of the field over a season etc.

Who’s everyone picking in this one? Kind of wanting the Aussies to win which is weird.

Classic, can we go back to the lions test and award it to Australia now?

Sorry referring to the Earl tackle that was way worse than Tupou"s one. That saved the lions.

That appeared to be pretty blatantly knocked on by an argie playing it on the ground?

Aussies are playing like we did when were younger, everyone crowding around the ball, waiting to carry. I find those tactics a bit strange when spreading the ball wide was where they were most effective against the Boks.

Some good work under the high ball by both Aussie wingers

@Bones Yup - 2 penalties, one knock on and one pass to no-one.
