I’m a believer after that. Game management from Otago? Had to pinch myself to make sure I wasn’t dreaming

Canterbury look so much more well drilled and coached. Guess that’s the difference between the two teams, Otago get the rejected Canterbury coach.
Well he seems to have done a decent enough job, at least today anyway!

Yeh yeh yeh, I’d rather be wrong than right

A huge congratulations to Otago and their fans.
A lot of Speight's Ale will be drunk!
-
How great is it to have the Shield moving around this year!
It's going to be our turn to claim it next week
-
Lucas Casey is just so bloody good eh @Steven-Harris! Highlanders need to do us a favour and confirm he will be in the team next year

You're due a win.

The mystique of that log makes teams do some silly and spectacular things.
Congrats to Otago.

@Chris Cheers Chris it was a great contest. also how good was captain Will Stodart, my old man reckons he has abit of Mike Brewer about him I assume that's a compliment
He has a bit of mongrel about him too.
Enjoy the win mate your boys deserved it -
"The Ranfurly Shield is the world's greatest Rugby competition."
Discuss.

How good was that!
Jeez Casey, another that got away, although TBF, if he'd stayed i bet Northland wouldn't have played him.
-
@taniwharugby What the back story on Lucas Casey? He wasn't on my radar before this season, and I'm no longer dunedin based so not close to the club competition any more. Clearly a talent and I hope the highlanders have signed him. But was he originally a Northland local?
