Pledger has more impact than the "All Blacks" on the other side

Jacobson has been the best player on the field. Be fair

Good finish by Otago but that first 30mins was concerning when Waikato had 15 players. The forwards need to role up their sleeves, particularly the loosies

He was the reason the Otago forward pack was walking backwards most of the half. He’s been very good

The gauge with Pledger is that he has been the dominant player over Roe who spent about a week called into the ABs as cover? During the halfback crisis.

    Don't rush him though.

It has just been a quality game of footy.

Ok fellas, it one of my wagons I been on, but I/m going up one more. I would be picking Pledger for my 3rd halfback for the NH tour, and if not at least in ABXV I will spit tacks.

@SouthernMann He's very promising. Looks very fast, skillful and smart.

    On the small side.

F*** being small, he is the most like a young Aaron Smith as I have seen!!

Yeah good when he isn't yellow carded.

As for near 90-cap All Black ALB... Hopeless.

Why I wouldn't rush him too much.

    He needs some physical development.

Would be horrible to break him. Have to remember two years ago he was playing first XV footy.

Take him on the AB XV. The kid has a massive future. He just needs to be managed well.

Aaron smith played three years of NPC and one season of super before making the all blacks. No need to rush pledger

    @jimmyb Exactly.

I remember a long time back, Sir Graham talking about Kieran Read, when drums were beating.

He said something like, "We think Kieran will be a very important player for the AB's, but there's no need to rush him".

Pledger is the best otago homegrown rugby player since Sir Richie McCaw.
