Unfortunately we are seeing Fakatava’s weakness exposed his high kick game is very average

Played his heart out for 65 odd mins leading up to that. Probably shouldn’t have been on. Him and Flanders were carrying Hawkes Bay tonight

@Landers92 ABs leave on Wednesday, so him and Darry will be out.

@Landers92 certainly was’nt being critical of his efforts on the field tonight but just highlighting an area of his game that’s a weakness that he will have to rectify moving forward
He’s a superb player when he’s probing or working in with his forwards with ball in hand

Bell, Fakatava, Flanders, Rakete Stones, Christie, McLeod, Failagi, Darry all played pretty well. One to forget for Mclutchie and Sullivan after good seasons. Think the game was pretty much a foregone conclusion with both starting midfielders out.

Clinical from Canterbury. Outclassed Hawkes Bay.

Congrats Canterbury, too good for our small province. šŸ˜‰ Defence was too good in the second half, we always look better with the ball than without, and Canterbury negated that.

But, was a bloody good season for us, I didn't expect us to make the top 4 so we overachieved there, won the Battle of the Bays, and a lot of our hometown guys had really good seasons (Zarn, Fakatava, Lowe, Flanders etc) along with some of the imports like Miracle.

It's a shame George Bell won't be playing in the grand final isn't it, don't know why Jase doesn't take Slater or J Taylor as cover to in the interim

Well I guess that players would rather be with ABs anyway.

@Dan54 overall in general obviously but in Bells case the John McGlashen old boy getting the chance to play in a final against Otago of all teams is an opportunity gone begging šŸ™‚ as an Otago fan however more than happy to not see George or Sam next week lol
