Luck England A's lineouts are worse than the AB XV's high balls

A good thing that I didn't travel to Bristol to watch this game. It turns out that it took place in Bath.

    Longer highlights.

Fakatava and Jacomb combining nicely there

Fakatava made a big difference to the attack.

It wasn't a great game skill-wise, and Eng A will rue those dropped passes when a try seemed likely.

The set piece was much better for the AB XV.

AB XV equally as woeful under the high ball as the national team. Diabolical and we were lucky England A couldn't go 2 phases without knocking the ball on. Such a massive weakness of our game.

As is kicking, Josh Jacombs field kicking is woefully short and inaccurate and is his goal kicking is Beaden Barret levels of shit. He seemed to settle into running the game a bit better in the second half but wasn't great in this area in the first or last week so I wonder why Reihana isn't been given more time at 10. I guess Robertson and co see Jacomb as the next cab off the rank if their is an injury.

I would like to see how Cam Millar goes in a team that isn't getting eviscerated in the forwards and has some decent attacking threats on the outside It is a shame they selected on Super form only and not NPC. His kicking game is the best in NZ rugby but he gets exposed playing in a weak Highlanders side in a tournament like Super rugby that doesn't place much value on a 10 that kicks well and controls territory.

Ennor was excellent at centre, Lio Willie and Papali'i had great games as did Havili apart from that terrible dropping it cold off the kick under no pressure. Fokatava brought some real energy and hussle off the bench and I wonder why he is not ahead of Finlay Christie in the halfback pecking order. Brodie McCallister also played very well at hooker somewhat surprising me.

Luke Jacobsons career summed up by one awesome run then off for a HIA which he failed.

@tubbyj Ennor has been in good form all year, id have been inclined to have him in the main squad ahead of Proctor or Rieko (given it seems the coaches dont want to use him)

How was his speed? I only saw the highlights which showed great anticipation but not much acceleration? And him falling over rather clumsily.
Even in the highlights package Reece's speed was um, barely hooker-level.

Fakatava still looks like a great AB bench option to me. What is he missing?

Agreed. From my point of view Roigard is being managed poorly and given his issues with injury overplaying him might lead him to breaking again.

I'd bring Fakatava into the 23 and give him a good 20 minutes each game.

@nostrildamus still looks quick.enough to my eye, reckon he'd be quicker than LF, Proctor or Tupaea.

@taniwharugby Biggest question over Ennor is how long will he stay fit?
