@Victor-Meldrew They cheated in 1905. They robbed Bob Deans of his try. They robbed The Originals of their unbeaten tour. No sympathy.
Andy Haden says hi

We all thank Graham Price for being dumb enough to hold down Gary Seear while the ref, Roger Quittendon, looked on and correctly awarded a penalty...

Fuuuuck . . .
I can remember when Wales were really, really fucking good.Yeah, it's sad. Like to support Wales as they play a great style and their fans are generally bloody good.blokes.
I am same Victor, I find it all incredibly sad. I can imagine how shattered the fellas I watched the tests in Wales with at the Red Gate in Pontypridd will be .

Just out of interest Victor , I seem to recall it was Wheel (or someone like that) jumping off Oliver's shoulder. All were obviously pretty hardy shoves as there seemed to be AB bodies flying out all over the place.

Dislocated shoulder for Jac Morgan, out for the remainder of the autumn games.
Huge blow for us especially considering we'll be losing all the non Wales based players for the final game against SA too. Jeez that's going to be a hard watch (even more than usual) -

The coaching was there – the backline shape ‘looked’ ok but when you’re operating with slow ball and no punchy forward runners it doesn’t actually achieve anything. Then they have to throw extra forwards in to win the breakdown and in a few phases you have more defenders than attackers on their feet and quickly run out of options.
It is sad and I genuinely feel for the supporters.
My Dad tells a story about going to Cardiff Arms Park with an All Blacks scarf on back in the 80s. We trounced them and after the game he had a queue of Welsh fans shaking his hand and congratulating them on the performance. Their fans are top tier and there isn’t exactly light at the end of the tunnel.

You're just deliberately throwing that bait out aren't you ...
Geoff Wheel and Frank Oliver

First things first it was an absolutely miserable afternoon in Cardiff yesterday
Not talking about the match, but the weather
Torrential downpours but thankfully watching the match on TV or in person you wouldn’t know
Putting a roof on on our national stadium was the greatest single achievement of the WRU
Wonderful Armistice Day tribute and and anthems and despite a 50 ish thousand crowd what sounded like a great atmosphere
Second things second, Argentina started the rot for Wales in the QF of the 2023 RWC and we lost 17 on the bounce (a couple on the bounce of the ball) for the worst losing run in our history
In that time Argentina have 10-14 record with wins over France, SA, NZ and Australia and hold a current RWC ranking of 6 to Wales’ 12
So it was never going to be easy for Wales
From the first Argentinian attack you could see they were targeting Wales’ right flank, exposing Rogers’ defensive frailties
Poor kicking and chasing, inaccuracy at the scrum and lineout, stupid penalties and Argentina trundle over for their first try
Second try came from a terrible pass from Edwards which put us under pressure then another poor kick chase from an average Edwards kick sees Argentina get the bounce of the ball and slick chip kick and hands puts them in first their second try
Very lucky that Carerras kicked it dead from a penalty
It was looking really ominous and could easily have been 21-0 inside 14 mins
But fair play to Wales they raised the tempo with crisp passing using Ben Thomas as the pivot (a la Giteau) and Tomos Williams was under the sticks
That calmed Wales down
High ball was still a problem but the defensive line was solid, first up tackles made, even if they allowed the defender to fall with momentum instead of against it
Quick drop out from Tomos and a good kick chase and the Argentinians thinking they’ve already won the match play it rather than kick it and cough up the ball
Excellent continuity from Wales with the pick and go and from a tap & go penalty Lake goes over
14-14 after a very rollercoaster first stanza
After an excellent steal from Jac Morgan when Wales were under the pump inside their own 10 a really poor clearance kick from Edwards gives the ball right back and back under pressure
27th minute
The Ben Thomas Homicide
(going by what I read)Being held illegally on the ground
Penalty to WalesLashed out in frustration
Penalty to Argentina
Deserved YC for intentWhen Thomas returns BOK tells him “let me deal with foul play”
The next person who complains about a player ‘Hollywooding’ an offence can go back to this incident
Thomas doesn’t try to pull away and Argentina have an unfair advantage
The only thing a player can do now is scream and shout and writhe like a tackled rugby league player
Only a successful penalty and 3 pts to Argentina from that position with a man down a great result for Wales
Man advantage tells after wave upon wave of Argentinian attack sees them go over for their third try
Terrible kick and kick chase from Wales, superb run and kick through from Matera and terrible defending from Wales sees Argentina go in at the half 31-14 to the good
We should be doing better than that
15 phases going absolutely fucking nowhere, Argentina turn the ball over and seconds later they score in the corner from piss poor Welsh tackling again
And Tomos Williams goes to the bin too
TNT are the shittest for replays
No view of his infringement until the 46th minute ffs
Pumas smart. Just boot it down the field and let Wales fuck up
Despite being a man down, great control and phase play from Wales sees them just denied from going over by an Argentinian infringement
The 5th in a row. Two outside the 22. Three inside. Not a peep from BOK
Thanks TNT
Lovely shot of Tomos’ moustache as Wales go over for their third try
Fucking amateurs
Morgan scores and puts himself out for the November series
Fucking fuck
Jamie Roberts - qualified doctor - ‘looks like wrist trouble’ when it’s fucking obvious that they’re trying to tuck his arm into his shirt to make a sling to stabilise either the rotator cuff or collar bone
Remind me not to see Dr Roberts for a consultation
Interesting that the only time Ben Thomas played first receiver and Edwards played inside centre Thomas put him through a hole where Edwards almost went all the way except for an excellent tap tackle
LRZ a ball hair from kick and gather to put Argentina under real pressure 5m from their own line
Two really good opportunities gone begging with Wales on the ascendancy
Fuck me
Same shit play that cost us the match in RWC QF kills any chance of us finishing close. Argies read it like a nursery book
Wales 21 - 45 Argentina
Our bench have made a difference
Cracking pass from Tomos puts Murray in after a couple of infringements
Wales 28 - 45 Argentina
How Argentina went through this match without a YC is baffling
Another shit kick and even shitter chase sees Wales under the pump and from the line out Argentina spill it
In the dying moments Wales go to sleep and from first phase scrum ball they waltz over for a far too easy but well taken try
7 tries to 4 in favour of the Pumas
28-52 the final score
Argentina the better team but christ we made it easy for them.
Tandy really has to look at the make up of this squad - especially in light of Morgan's injury.
I'd start Nicky Smith and Griffen. Cracknell in for Morgan.
Jarrod Evans in for Edwards.
LRZ has to start

Thanks Mike, I feeling a bit for all you Welsh supporters etc, but regardless great little write up. I will have a peek at the game today sometime, though maybe just the highlight package.
I keep my fingers and toes crossed that things inprove for Welsh rugby! -
