As I was creating this thread, the forum prompted me to look at another thread called Ireland v Australia from 2022.

And I noted this. And I laughed, considering what 2023 turned out to be...

@Billy-Tell said in Ireland v Australia:

Poor Aussie. So close on this tour.

Yeah. If I was Aus I'd not be despondent moving into next year. Especially considering the side of the draw they're on.

    lol

Anyway, this time around looks much the same as 2022 when we were saying it was gonna be a pounding.

Absolutely pansted by England, beaten on the park convincingly by Italy. Where to Wallabies?

Schmidt's last 2 games in charge, and lord knows we'll try hard for Uncy Joe, but it isn't going to be enough in my books.

Anyway, rumour is that JOC is back at 10 because why TF not?

    In my defence I present:

    • exhibit A: Hamish McClennan
    • exhibit B: Eddie Jones

I rest my case your honour.

@Kiwidom I just had a play, it was the full stop after the number that seems the issue...it then makes the following lines sequential?

    1. Mack Hansen (Connacht)(28 caps)
    2. Tommy O’Brien (Leinster)(4 caps)
    3. Robbie Henshaw (Leinster)(83 caps)
    4. Stuart McCloskey (Ulster)(23caps)
      11 James Lowe (Leinster)(41 caps)
      10.Sam Prendergast (Leinster)(11 caps)
      9 Jamison Gibson-Park (Leinster)(44 caps)

    9-11 dont have full stop

Prendergast looks like a circa 2008 random internet video of some Russian getting out of the car to start a brawl.

Australia have conceded a heap of tries to Aussies in last 2 games.
    Hansen, Ioane, Lynagh.

JGP's box kicking is so accurate. If only he was playing in black.

@akan004 if only he had gone to the Crusaders instead of the Blues
If Bryn Hall got changed into an All Black JGP would have knocked it out of the park

Ireland hands on the ground at ruck gives them a penalty 🙄

Followed by a questionable penalty in their favour at ruck time

Followed by an offside maul , held up

Kind of ignores the existence of Aaron Smith.

Scrum pushes early after JGP slightly delays the feed.

BUT we didn't catch the high kick from the short arm

Irish crowd booing a correct call that cancels the try.
