France v Ireland

You know what I like about watching the French? Their forwards pretty much operate in the middle of the field, get around the corner, and their job is to generate momentum and space for their danger players to do their thing.
They are not stretched across the field with a loose forward camped in the tram tracks stuffing everything up.
And thats a great try. France have great creative players
Simple game plan executed perfectly..

That's it JGP. The box kicks will eventually pay off....
To be fair to him absolutely no player in green looks able to do anything

This Ireland backline is shockingly awful.
Glue themselves to the ground when they get the ball.

France have switched off and Ireland get two quick ones

How is it a yellow? It's not a linebreak opportunity there was a french defender right there

No way, absolutely no chance of even a linebreak.
Find yourself someone who loves you as much as Mike loves over-officiating.

Deliberate knock down
Knew exactly what he was doing

That's not the rule Mike
(And it's a stupid rule)

That's a penalty. Which is what was given. Not a yellow.

Sitting here on a Thursday evening after work, thinking what a treat some Rugby is on at a novel time.
I find myself as disappointed with the sport as ever.
TMO, refs, checking everything.
We have legislated flow out of the game worldwide.
Arbitrary pedantry.
That's certainly a glass half empty take
Glass half full has been this game has seen some absolutely wonderful flow, attacking skills and ball movement.

Liking Dickson's reffing. No mucking around and keeping the game flowing.
He is is one of the worst in the business, with the current crop of whistleblowers being the worst I have ever been subjected to in my lifetime as a fan.
Carley, Dickson, Brace, The Georgian, Raynal. Piardi. A whos who of incompetence.
