Pertty crappy by the Canes. Hopefully we get back Kirifi, Delany, Lomax, Lakai, Roigard soon, they should hopefully make a difference.
Kirifi out for a at least the first two rounds. Proctor should be available as well.

Oh forgot about Proctor, centers tonight basically non existant, so need him back.
Last year injuries where terrible, starting off that way this year. -
The positives for the Chiefs were the defence and some slick backline interplay for those long-range tries. Brown grew into the game. Ratima was really good, although Roe had a decent 1st half himself.
Negatives. The lineout needs work. As ST wasn't meant to be playing in the first few rounds I doubt he has had more than a week of training.
We may see some ABs back for the Blues game but it would be a risk with no games behind them. Foketi seemed to be walking OK at the end so perhaps his injury isn't serious. Ahio was the other injury near the end.
-
Maybe the Canes are somewhat intentionally underdone because they aren't playing next week, and know they then have a huge block of games ahead?
I sometimes think the coaches almost treat the pre-season games as an inconvenience, because they are so busy not wanting to show their tactics.
If I was a Canes fan I would not be getting concerned yet.

Jacobson looks to be by far your most important loose forward. Parker didn't play though.
jacabson is underrated here. every team needs a player like him doing the graft

Yep, players these days can’t take any ounce of criticism without being offended which is why social media comments are hidden if they have even a slight hint of negative sentiment.
Bunch of pussies, they played like it to.

Well Jacobson was easily the Chiefs best loose forward last year.

Yep absolutely. Out of their million AB forwards, he's the one who goes back to Super rugby and actually dominates like an AB should (not that I think he's the silver bullet or anything).

@Canes4life I mean I get it if there's swearing or if you're personally going after someone but all I did was comment a donut emoji lmao

It just makes them look soft and it was reflected in their performance.

I know it was a pre season match but gee the Hurricanes were poor.
Not convinced on Laidlaw as a coach if I'm being honest.

@Darren said in Hurricanes vs Chiefs (pre season wk 2):
Pretty atrocious by the canes, no one really looking good.
Chiefs look like a much better coached.
I’m starting to have real doubts about Laidlaw as a coach. I just don’t think he’s good enough.
There’s enough quality cattle out there and they are playing like absolute muppets.@Canes4life said in Hurricanes vs Chiefs (pre season wk 2):
