even 80 kg or so (you should be able to get that to your shoulders), and squat DEEP. 60kg. High reps - 20-30. and then add in the jump squats I died on on Monday at the end of each set.

for the Jump squats very basic, go down into a squat, up and leap as high as you can (hands on your own shoulders sort of thing, crossed over in front of you), land and down into the squat, and up again.

Reckon do deep squats 30, followed by 15 of those, three sets.

And then a pain shared is a pain halved, so I will feel much better....

sweet! getting some form of rack setup is the biggest hurdle. Even if you can't be working right at your limit increasing the reps will have you puffing away in no time. You could even start on squats then do DL's... easier to put the weight down than lift it back up!!

Add in bench and that's a thorough workout!

Getting a rack actually set up isn't an issue if I chuck the actual bench on the table ( it kind of folds away ) so leaning forward and setting up for squats will be sweet. It's the doing them I might be out of kilter with especially if I follows Barts advice, looks farkin painful !

have you got a rubber matt for the floor? apparently quarry conveyor belts are massive and rubber and once they are worn out are usually turfed. So if you know any quarries......

yeah, do it MN, I want to share.

Could be a plan, theres more space in the garage for the weights to be dropped now, cool !!!!

Forgot to mention I got some free "Curse" supplement. Google it, looks a bit like an Iron Maiden album ( which is apt cos I am well back into the Maiden at the moment and reliving my teenage years ). This shit is off the charts, I love it and it seems to work heaps better than Superpump. I literally popped out to the garage, looked at the car and thought once or twice about trying to lift it.....

Disclaimer: obviously this depends on your metabolism, body makeup etc so as the infommercials say "Results may vary from person to person" the guy I got it from is firmly in the Superpump camp.....

Got some free Curse a while back too mate and yeah its not bad eh. Still, for me a good double shot coffee before I hit the gym gets me cranking. Without it I struggle to work as hard as I like to. Had one before a spinning class this morning and sweated it up big time.

The guys I get my protein off always send me something to try. Got some Ripped Freak a lil while back....still aint tried it.

Last nights squat session was seriously curtailed by a nasty case of "couldn't be fuckedness" plus the fact the bulb on the garage light had blown. Lucky I didn't curse it up otherwise I wouldn't have got to bed til about two or three. ( My mate often downs a few supplements before a hard night of womansing on the town, brilliant ! )

that's where Gym's have it over home gym-ing. Get there with the case CBF, and the other trainers around you more often than not lift you up and you crack through the CBF wall.

yeah the CBF syndrome raises its head from time to time. I tend to relate it to not having eaten enough or being really short on sleep. You never regret working out though!! that little gem has got me through numerous CBF's!!

Yep, that is for sure - you always feel a million bucks after the workout (if you can walk that is) and stoked you did it, just have to get through those first few sets to get the blood flowing!

For sure, better to do it than not do it but somedays you're definitely not 100% and the last rep you got last week isn't always in the tank ( I blame two young sons keeping me awake all fucken night last week, broken sleep isn't good if you're trying to recover etc )

My supplement mate who previously worked at Les Mills ( and constantly tried to get me to sign up ) says that very few people have the discipline to do weights at home. Discipline is not a word most would associate with me especially when they see me at a bar with free piss but on the whole I've never had a problem getting motivated to smash a bit of tin. I love the convenience and the fact that if I arse out ( as I have done on numerous occasions ) there is no one there to laugh at me.

So today was deadlift day, after a warm up I thought I'd go for a few reps of 160kg, third rep in I felt something twinge in the back ( kinda just below the shoulder, the reverse side of where there pecs are ) fuck it hurt so I stopped immediately. It's not like it's a weight I can't handle, well its heavy but still.....not sure what I've done and promise this isn't some weak excuse to get out of Barts squat routine !!!! hopefully its ok after a few days rest.....

So popped out to the garage before work and tentatively tried a couple of chins, mutha fucka ! the pain shot up my whole left shoulder. I've definitely done something so gave up after a measly couple of reps. May have to go and see a physio.
