pretty much, and pumpkin for carbs. Next time I visit foodgod I will have eaten 21 kilos of Pumpkin, 14 odd kilos of chicken breast, 21 cups or whole grain rolled oats, 14 kilos of vegetables (green please, asparagus and beans to the front and centre), and enough eggs to make an omelet with a diameter of 10 feet... Can sub fish in for chicken when I feel like it too. Not other subs, treats are now watching McDonalds adds....

Sounds good Bart. Looking forward to seeing the next pics update and how the cut is progressing.
second to last wax before comp this Wednesday, and visit trainer / food gurus on Monday next, the excitement builds, sort of.

CHest today, good blow out, shoudlers starting to come right, still no where near 100%, but getting less painon a weekly basis - would be fixed by taking a week or two off, but that ain't going to happen!! Wicked weights from Ness today, only a few kilos off pressing her own body weight for reps at the moment. Wicked.

leg workout today, sans calf raises. Didn't feel calf at all through the squats, so all good there. Decent workout, starting to get harder now as the food drops off, but still enough in the tank to be training hard. Last set of squats 2 reps at 150, nice and deep. Next week we start the super setting and mad stuff, I haven't even looked at the programme yet, we've had it for 3 weeks, and Ness knows it inside out. I'll wait until Monday.....!!!!

shoulders this morning, good workout, still not clean and pressing due to shoulder, although IS getting heaps better, but still not right. As you lean down all the little things start to niggle - my lower back constantly clicks (no pain, just clicks), ankles are sore (I think from the beach angle as I walk), shouders (both) sore, right tennis elbow still lingering but almost not there anymore...

Anyway, good workout today, walk tonight, and that's another week almost demolished.

interesting side not that I have kept forgetting to bring up. We have not done an ab workout for the last 8 weeks, and before that it was once a week. Abs are still there nig time. Trainer does not train abs too much on the theory that the more you use them, like all other muscles, they;ll grow, and they you end up with this big chunky waist. Well, they are popping out like mad at the moment, so they're still there, and with half the time spent on them in the past, D'hoon, you the man!!

sleep in this morning, then work to mid afternoon and a nice walk home via the beach. Tide well out so no angle on the beach and body fine from the walk. Defo getting tireder as the extra cardio kicks in, even though still eating plenty of food - just the added cardio, 7 x 45 minutes as opposed to 4 x 20 minutes a week.

Trainer visit on Monday, can't wait, MUST be better results than last time when I was pretty stagnated.

ow ow ow ow. Welcome back high reps and super sets, where have you been these last 8 weeks...

Chest yesterday, SORE today. Legs this morning, SORE NOW. Abs today, not looking forwrad until tomorrow and trying to sit up in bed...

Visited trainer and food boss yesterday. All good, especially in comparison with last time when it was 'ok'. BF dropped from just under 8% to 6.7%, weight dropped 3 odd kilos to 85.7kg. Still 5.2kg off comp weight, but really I don't care, if I weigh in heavy I just jump into the physique class - old enough for masters physique now so I won't haev to comepete with all the junked up bods out there. Food boss does not think she'll have any trouble knocking the few kgs off though. Body looking good and pretty much as lean as comp days in comparison with past photos. Wish i could have seen my back, as trainer (weights boss) reckons he's never seen a six pack on a BACK before.

Ness looking wicked too, but was a bit defalted, thinks she did not look that flash, although she did - looking better and far more muscled than ever before. Great to have the old competition photos to look back on and compare.

So all good on all fronts. And yes, I espext the weight will come off easy, as Carbs are pretty much a luxury now, 200g kumara at lunchtime, and a cup of whole grain rolled oats the lot..!

the soreness spreads, calves now feel like they've been run over and abs even worse. Shoulders dusted this morning, arms now feel like two strands of spaghetti hanging from nothing. Great workout, Dazza outdone himself on this one!

So back tomorrow, and then collapse tomorrow night in front of the TV and wach the All Blacks spank the Fijians, if I can stay awake that is!!

sooo, back and biceps today. Mmmmm, bllody outdine himself this time has out trainer, top workout. double set and then triple set, and done. Then bicep double set - biceps sgtarting to get sore now, not looking forward to tomorrow at this rate.

Weight this morning (the scales are back and batteries installed, time to keep an eye on the downward spiral) after breakfast was a 84.7, down about a kilo from Mondays weigh in with Food Boss. Scales say 9.5% fat, calipers say 6.7%, so if I take off about 3 from the scale reading it might be accurate-ish - until Monday week when the fat grabbers come out again when we visit.

getting tired now.

shit you'll be dozing through the test match after that brutal session mate! ugh doubles followed by triples! it can suck when you feel the pain immediately after the workout - you know the next couple of days ain't gonna be pretty. That is a low bf reading, you must be stoked with how the lean down process is going. What is the best case scenario in terms of bf?

aiming for 2 or 3%, think I've been down to about 5% on the scales a day or two before comp day, which maybe equates to that. Certainly in the best shape this far out from a comp ever.

cardio this morning, not too bad, cycled at gym for 45, was going to do the machine dance, 15 on cycle, 15 on stepper or something, and 15 on treadmill. But machines were taken, so cycled the whole thing.

did some posing afterwards, downlaoding photos now, will post some up if any good...!

2 or 3%!! fark - amazing what you can do the body. With reserves that low surely you'd feel it something awful if you missed a meal? man that must be tough to just give the body enough fuel to workout without a smidge extra that the body might store.

Is it true that at that super low level of bf your body is desperate to establish some fat reserves? It sounds like putting barely enough fuel in your car for a X km journey then thrashing the tits outta the engine!! Must be a bit of a mind f*$k near the end!

absolute mind game over the last few weeks, it's all mind game really. you're not feeding your body enough, but you want to burn the fat reserves, not the muscle. The body wants to burn the muscle and save the fat because it goes into starvation mode, so you're eating a ton of protein and sod all cards so your body has to burn fat, etc etc etc...

It is a mad science, would have to do it by myself, thats what you for sure need the PT and food guru for.
