shit you'll be dozing through the test match after that brutal session mate! ugh doubles followed by triples! it can suck when you feel the pain immediately after the workout - you know the next couple of days ain't gonna be pretty. That is a low bf reading, you must be stoked with how the lean down process is going. What is the best case scenario in terms of bf?

aiming for 2 or 3%, think I've been down to about 5% on the scales a day or two before comp day, which maybe equates to that. Certainly in the best shape this far out from a comp ever.

cardio this morning, not too bad, cycled at gym for 45, was going to do the machine dance, 15 on cycle, 15 on stepper or something, and 15 on treadmill. But machines were taken, so cycled the whole thing.

did some posing afterwards, downlaoding photos now, will post some up if any good...!

2 or 3%!! fark - amazing what you can do the body. With reserves that low surely you'd feel it something awful if you missed a meal? man that must be tough to just give the body enough fuel to workout without a smidge extra that the body might store.

Is it true that at that super low level of bf your body is desperate to establish some fat reserves? It sounds like putting barely enough fuel in your car for a X km journey then thrashing the tits outta the engine!! Must be a bit of a mind f*$k near the end!

absolute mind game over the last few weeks, it's all mind game really. you're not feeding your body enough, but you want to burn the fat reserves, not the muscle. The body wants to burn the muscle and save the fat because it goes into starvation mode, so you're eating a ton of protein and sod all cards so your body has to burn fat, etc etc etc...

It is a mad science, would have to do it by myself, thats what you for sure need the PT and food guru for.

    lol K!!

Weight in this monring - 83.4kg.
Gym this morning legs - and surprisingly easy today - my three sets last week of squats were all at 100 (15 reps), then the lunges. Today did 100, 110, 120 - the 120 last 5 were tough, so might end at that again next week, but up the first set a touch. Although we only have two more leg workouts before comp day, and one of those will be on the carb deplete cycle, so might not have the gas left to do that!
hamstring curls were killer this morning, do a 8 heavy as possible, then 20 stripping the weight down. Ended up leg curling 24kg (two or three of the plates on the machine), but it felt like trying to lift an elephant!!
Thought be more tired as went to Mount M last night to watch movie - proud to say I remained awake through 'Bridesmaids'. Not a bad movie, a few laugh out loud moments, but wife enjoyed it more than me. Almost a heangover for chicks! So home late, but slept much better! Would have rather seen harry Potter!!!

and that's a wrap!

yeah, it has been a long time between drinks this time out - last season we seemed to be competing every 5 mintues, this year it's been about changing the body and being new on stage again - judges must get bored with the same old same old all the time - especially when there is no change in the bodies they are looking at.

Good news too - comp day breakfast, 5am (you're awake then anyway) is gluten free flapjack pancake things (from countdown), ICECREAM and MAPLE SYRUP!! then post comp ANYTHING that night and the whole day afterwards. Then back on the straight and narrow! Also the eating during the day is monitored - we used to just cut loose, but new food guru has comp day planned out even, which is great.

walk home last night around the 'old pub road', 55 minutes, just trudged along as you do in the cold! Not too bad though, not feeling dead yet! This morning at gym was cardio morning, 45 minutes on the bike, I get bored so 45 seconds in cruise mode and 15 seconds flat out keeps me occupied.

Walk home via the short route tonight which is a 20 minute burst, and then throw some posing tonight. TIme to become a poser again. oh yay.

shoulders today, another grueling day at the office - but enjoyable as per usual. Not looking forward to walk home tonight though - especially if Ness comes along, I have trouble keeping up with her, man she can walk fast!!

bonus, Ness walked earlier, so I wandered the streets for my 45 minute cardio after work, it was horrible, zero gas in the tank, but made it!

this morning back workout, final weights session of the week, so YAY. Then a bit of posing once we got home.

Weight this morning 83.2, target 80.5 so getting closer to target, must be a good dehydrate away from goal. Vanessa the same, 2.5 kilos from goal weight and looking GOOD. She has come on in leaps and bounds, scary the amount of muscle she has packed on in the last 6 months.

So over and out, two cardio sessions and posing this weekend to come - might have to crack into practise on my routine too - going back to my original one to 'We are the Champions'', can't be arsed working on a new one this time out. You don't get judged on routines at any rate, so could just go out on stage and pop a double bicep pose and walk off if you were so inclined. But I am sure judges DO look at the physiques if the competition is a close run thing, so you get on stage and try to hide your weak points and promote your strong.

GREAT NEWS. No carb depletion needed for Ness and me. We're both now as lean as we have been - throw some water depletion into us and we're ready for the stage. Going to make this soo much easier mentally, and obviously physically too.

My weight at trainer / food guru was 83, 1.5 off competition weight - so basically water deplete and I am ready for the stage, and feel like it too.

So roll on Whakatane, 18 days to go...

Workouts continue - chest yesterday, good as gold, shoulders almost 100%, stoked. Today was legs, and I upped my devils walk weight, and paid for it once I hit the hamstring curls, ended up almost curling my feet alone it felt like, and they were 2000kg deadweights at the ends of my legs - great!!

So all good, and the little pointer of adding some cinnamon to you oats, oh my - perfect!!!!!

have lost muscle mass over the last few weeks though - but that is probably the lack of carbs and water IN the muscle, traininer not to worried, but have upped the amino acid supplement thing just in case it becomes one.

BF% slipped under the 6%, excepts another 2 or so to go by comp day. Will certainly be leanest ever!
