Well done to you both. Looking in fine form there on stage. Well earned too as there has been a shitload of hard work put in by both of you.

Looks like you both had the wood on the others with all over condition. Reckon the extra bulk you added (legs and chest) plus the better definition put you well ahead.

Excellent haul! some good news for the day after an average test match!

Well done : )

Well done mate, great definition and size. Your legs just blow the competition away.

speaking of legs... today was legs day (and thanks K, they certainly separate me from the average bodybuilder), leg press, one legged extensions, dumbell hamstring curls and donkey calf raises.

Cardio today - 45 minutes on the treadmill blasting along to the Blues Brothers. A good album to listen to while walking, some of those faster tracks get you moving!! The one the play from the movie when they sneak off the stage to evade the coppers (whatever it's called) really rocks along - and goes for over 9 minutes I found out today!! Good rhythms to walk to!

Almost a fluid free zone now too, not the usual water retention thanks to new food chick's different way to pump up etc, so all good, feeling fine and ready to go - three weeks before we tread the boards again from this Saturday. Bring it on again!!

Meanwhile, training continues after the selection in the NZ team for the Philippines. Back today, great workout, think the thought of winning medals for New Zealand adds a bit of zing to the body!!

binged out Sunday night - bad, but not that bad, funny thing the mind and the body.

but we'd been to see our food guru, and we were both too bloody thin! Our muscles had not filled out enough adn e looked flat and skin han ging off us. So we're in the Mount this week with daughters netball. So binged on rice wafers with peanut butter and banana spread on it, and shared one of those small chocolate bars, a couple of protein bars that were also not on the menu. So a binge, but not a really really bad one, but a binge all the same. It was pretty fun though, and while the body needed it, i think the mind did too.

Exercise today - walked up the mount and down the other side and around and back to where we're staying on the beach. Then to Bay bodyfit and worked out at 2, chest and biceps, good workout too - full of carbs, arms pumped up like ballons at the end of the workout, veins all over the place, looked like freaks!

right, business as usual - visit to traininer last Sunday - GOOD. both leaner now than when we competed at BOP a few weeks ago. Which suits me fine, I want to be ripped for Welly, and super ripped for nationals. Felt a bit 'soft' at BOP. Ness looking wicked all along too.

So ta the moment still on plenty of tucker and visit Tarren on Sunday for the final weeks brief. Expect a min carb deplete for a few days again, and then match day'll be all go, lean and mean and hunting for more trophies...

training - we've hit the hundreds. 100 squats at 60kg (had no idea what weight to day, could perhaps go a bit heavier). 5 and half minute for the set...!!!! Hundred calf raises too. A few pauses while you regain your breath on the squats, and on the raises a few times you have to stop to remove the daggers taht are being driven into your muscles!!

Today was 100 bench presses - took Ness 7 and a half minutes. Stripping a little weight as we stopped each time, and then just stopping and resting for a few seconds at a time when you could not move anymore!! Was excellent. I think I ended up pressing 35, starting at 50. Expect chest will tell me all about it tomorrow! Legs and calves sending me hate mail at the moment...

other than that, all good.

MN5 - a couple of 10kg and a couple of 6kg dumbells, possible...???
cheers ears.

33,17, 15, 10 and then i can't remember, something like that anyway! Legs feeling it today! Thursday is 100 extensions and 100 hammy curls... All other exercises are pretty much three sets of 30 or two of 30 one of 20. If this doesn't rip your muslces to shreads, nothing will!!

ouch, legs second time this week today, 100 extensions and 100 hammy curls. then 30s for lat raises and bent over raises and all sort sof shoulder and tricep exercises. It hurts, drained today.

Weight now down to 81kg on waking. 83 kilos after breakfast and the gym (a litre of water there), and then after the morning bowel movement, back to 82. Sooo, that puts my weight at 80kg. Which is excellent. Ness on her game day weight right now too, both looking much much leaner already than we did at BOP, and we have not dehydrated or crab depleted and loaded yet. Look out Wellington!!

haha how many times do you weigh yourself each day bart?

Theres a fella at my gym I often see weighing himself multiple times during the workout. And hes definately not a serious body builder like yourself!

just experimenting today - used to be daily at this stage of lean down, but messes with your head to much, so every few days or when trainer asks us to.

was 82.2 yesterday morning after breaky etc, and the litre of morning water, wanted to see my true weight before breakfast. And then seeing what it was after to compare with yesterday, and then the bowels decided to do their thing, and thought I'd jump on again!!!

jeez, tired just typing that!

wicked bicep pump today - first some EZ bar curls - 7s. seven lower range reps, seven upper range reps, and then seven full. Even looked like a bodybuilder in the mirror on these ones!! Followed by seated cable curls, just to keep the tension on right through the rep, these hurt too. Biceps were already feeling it by the time we got to these exercises too, after the barbbell bent rows and seated cable reverse grip pulls...

So all good, pumped to the max, Wellington only a week away now!

cardio first thin in the morn you mean? WE have to fit our training into our life, so it's weight in the morning and cardio at night. Ideally would be other way around (our trainer says), but we just can't do that with family / work / life getting in the way!
