Sunday's list...
2 more Burger Fuel burgers (we were given 2 for 1 vouchers, I still have some left for nationals), crunchy nut cornflakes and yoghurt, MacDonalds breakfast bagel, 3 scones, muffin, caramel slice, red bull x 1, mixed nuts x lots, picnic bar, oh yeah bar, and I think that is about it...

Weight this morning 84kg! Feel slightly water logged...!

Gym this morning was leg 100s etc, tough workout because of the spongy feeling from being chock full of fluids, but blasted though it with plenty of energy!!
NTA, wait to you hit double figures for the first time since, well, for me it was since I was about 18 years old I think. You'll feel a new man, and Mrs NTA won't know you!

NOw it all starts again - Nationals will be here before we know it.

Weight popped out to 84 yesterday, but the dam has burst, I am now peeing for New Zealand, almost as the water goes in the mouth I'm emptying the bladder. Funny though, while I feel bloated, posing at the gym this morning still ripped to shreads, so the mind is at rest now, was worried, even though I KNOW I'm going to retain for a day or 3 before it goes again.

weight 82.9 this morning, so the water is leaving the body now. Feels funny after having my skin cling wrapped to m,y muscles on Saturday through to today where there is a layer of fluid between skin and muscle (normal human body). Can see why this sport is addictive, but a real mind game at the same time! Love it.

Cardio this morning and more posing, Not much fun stripping down to your shorts at minus 50!! BUt gotta be done. Both looking good and I think should be razor sharp come nationals. Bodyfat by scales still under 4%, just holding gallons of water!

81.8 this morning, still pissing for New Zealand! Starting to feel lean and mean again. Well always mean, but the lean is happening again.

It's a real mind screw this competing part of the season. ONce you've been super lean, you want to stay that way, but it's not really possible to be living life running around at 3% bodyfat! But once you 'blow out' to say 9 or 10%, you feel like you're fat, until you get used to it again. Sigh, oh to be normal and 120kilos again....!!

Legs today - 100s - extensions and hammy curls. legs are empty as empty things now. ALso a few million lat rasies and tricep exercises thrown in just to finish us off! Good day at the office this morning, although bring back the heat please, shit it was cold this AM.

hah I bet you feel the cold now without that body fat!!!

Must be a crazy mind game with the body weight and fat % going up and down like that. You are doing well though mate. Really well!

Cheers JK, and yes, weak mind in this sport and you're fucked. Ness has ner moments of self doubt, especially now, but we both KNOW that the water comes right off again. Still does not make it easier. Makes it easier for me I think as I have to be strong and do the man thing and bottle up the worries while calming Ness's fears! Still horrible waiting for the water to start going, "what if it doesn't this time" etc....

All good though, strong body, strong mind.

And this helps too - a fleet of TSF physiologists on hand, even though they are all as fucked as I am!!!!!

80.8 this morning, legs lean again now - the neoprene wetsuit that had been implanted between my skin and the muscles has gone! Chest, back and biceps at the gym today, not 100s thankfully, but still a good blast, and then aquick round of symetry and compulsory posing. It is all coming together nicely now, we've both pretty much done all we can do, it's now in the laps of the gods (or rather, those seven bloody judges that sit down the front of the stage with their bowls of jelly beans) as to how the chips fall come Nationals.

stay at the top 1 I think it is called - holiday park - we've stayed there for the last 3 years now.

think $15 for the day show, and too much for the night show! Night show finished at about midnight so you don't want to go to that - the day show is where all the judging is done at any rate - night is when you whack out your posing routines, which have no judging on them - except for the pairs, whcih does, and you also do your routines for in the morning too...

Clear as mud? Overalls get judged at night - that is all the winners of the atlhetic categories butting heads (novice, masters open, short and tall in all those categories etc)...

clearer, I still get confused after 3 years...

Jaysus felt terrible yesterday afternoon / evening. Someone threw up a huge wall and I galloped straight into it! Better today though, but jeez energy was goooooone!

Today though, good as gold - whacked through a good cardio session at the gym this morning, and will head back tonight after closing to work on routines / posing etc. The THE ALL BLACKS game.

Weight this morning 80.0. Feeling like a bodybuilder again after the fluid retention for a few days. Visit to trainer tomorrow - hopefully we'll get our carb load tomorrow evening as per the BOP and Wellington comps!!

Also got given a protein cookie recipe. Not the worlds most difficult, I think I can handle it. Two scoop protein powder, 1 teaspoon peanut butter, 75ml water, mix and microwave. Sounds good to me!!

SO a week today at this stage I expect one of me or Ness will already have been on stage, the other probably pumping up as I type. 172 hours to action!!

on our way to trainer right now (love the T stick thingy, Ness driving), leg workout this morning, TOUGH. the 100 squat, 100 hamstring curl, 100 seated calf press killer. Got to 53 squats (60kg) before the pause this time (2 more than last time), and then one more stop, finished with 101 (one for Dazza).

Weight this morning 79.5. knackered!, where's the wheel chair!
