We'll never know, I think he was gaining on him - might not have had enough ground to run him down though.

Sometimes sbw gets too obsessed with passing after he has made contact , when the better play can be passing before contact

some real messy play by both teams, Blues pushing shit, canes playing like they are chasing the game.

Pretty good game so far even though it got a bit messy.
BB probably deserved the card for offside playing the halfback while Blues in a good position but im sure the story all week will be about BB getting another card for a deliberate knock on.SBW with the nice break but he should have given it to Nanai. The rest of his play has been forgettable. Looks like he is trying to force it a bit.
Nanai is having a bloody good season. I said in the ABs centres thread that Rieko might get into the squad if NMS, Dagg or Naholo don't come back from injury in time. But maybe Nanai would be a bolter if a wing spot opens up. He offers the wing/fullback the selectors like but in an 11s body.
Duffy looking good again too.

Clear YC. You can't knock the ball out of a halfbacks hands like that, particularly when your defence is back-pedalling. Professional foul.
