Jscko makes some mistakes doesn't he?
I haven't been able to watch (damn time difference at the moment) but it sounds from this thread that Jackson had a shocker.
Everyone has bad days but he really lacks the consistency needed to be ranked as high up the reffing totem pole as he is.
Good on him for going into reffing after playing and I guess there was a desire all around for him to be the poster boy for that which has paid of to an extent with a few more ex players getting into the ranks but it's a pity he is so frustrating.
I think there are a few NZ refs that are better than him at the moment but are ranked lower. Even that christian fellowship looking kid whose name I can't remember is better. -
Plenty whinging about Kebble being penalised for tipping Evans but not a peep when Leyds basically sits down and Fekitoa skims over the top there's not a peep.
It's a similar situation for me as the whingers argued "what else was he going to do" for the first incident. Too much Marshall being over fair to the opposition.

Was thinking the same. Pisses me off when the defender is allowed to fall over the tackle, push up off the ground and go at the ball.
I think that was the incident which prompted my comment above about Jacko making errors.

I'm with @booboo in that I reckon it was the right call by Jacko. Yes the lifters failed to get him down, he was on the props shoulder and he has certainly played a part in the way he was upended by pushing out rather than simply moving away. Nothing malicious, but he has contributed to a situation that could have ended badly.

On the Keble penalty.
I'm with booboo. It was a crazy accidental situation that Kebble made worse and Evans could have died.It's just a penalty, no big deal, this is a sport which has scrum penalties, nuff said.
If it hadn't been penalised then no big deal either. But Kebble had a choice when a player dropped from outer space on to his shoulders. Do nothing, tip him, or help him down. He chose the 1 option that was penalisable.
