Yeah Death but what he means is the bread still has more of its grains i.e. hasn't been pulverised into white bread.
Look at other examples: canned fruit versus fresh fruit - which one is better?
Processed ham versus ham off the bone - not as much difference here admittedly but the stuff of the bone is still better than the pressed gear they sweep up off the floor <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

Ultimately it provides a simple rule for people with low proper dietary knowledge: general foods are better the closer to the source they are.

Anybody ever do medicine ball training for abs?

Here's a good one that I do often:

Sit on your ass on the floor with your legs spread out in front of you for balance. Have somebody throw a medicine ball straight at you. Catch it. Throw it back. Then have them throw it to your left side. Catch it. Throw it back. Then to the right, above your head, side to side again. Build up speed until you can do it with a heavy ball really fast. Your partner should be throwing the ball just outside of your reach, so you have to stretch a bit to catch it.

This is great training for any kind of contact sport or martial art, as it really hardens up the mid section and gets your obliques and fast twitch fibers really firing. It also builds balance and the ability to take impact and maintain your center of gravity.

If your midsection feels like somebody beat it with a baseball bat the following day, you know you are doing it right.

Enjoy.

Reminds me of that video clip of Jonah Lomu balancing on a swedish ball, twisting from side to side with a dumbell in his hands... Frightening to see that bulk being controlled so delicately. Same aim - core stability.

MvJ hasn't moderated anything yet (except to correct one of NTA's uglier typos), but stands ready to do so twig-boy!

    OK

You guys gave me inspiration to go on the fat busters thing as well. It will only officially start on 1 April, and no it's not a joke! :coolsmiley:.

A gym is opening up on the 1st April at the work. So I decided to go back to my old self again and join up with the gym. Coming to work at 6 am in the morning I might as well spend an hour or a little bit more in the gym. With a totally new menu at the canteen, selling healthy food, I might as well do it.

My target is 90 kg. Current weight is +/- 135 kg, was about 148 kg in the middle of last year <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />.
Height is 1,93m or about 6ft 3".
Dunno about stomach and titties area as yet, but I reckon it's big, to say the least :shifty:.
And I am 28 years old.

So I will start my fat busting thing, as soon as MvJ has approved it, on 1 April 2006.

Last time I was in double figures was 1999/2000, then everything went pearshaped, literally, now the time has come to go back again.
