And by bringing the willpower to bear, with the diet back on the rails, and shitting out all the toxic sludge i consumed on Saturday, this morning I was back to 94.9!

Love that. Will be gunning for sub-94 this weekend.

Yep I'm back on the wagon as well after putting on a couple of kg over the weekend ( although different times weighing in and having slightly dodgy scales may have been a factor )

What DIDN'T I eat?!! Smashed the bacon and eggs with toast, then snacked all day, about a litre of milk, quarter pounder and cheeseburger with iced coffee for lunch. That was right before the blood bank, and the nurse commented how good my haemoglobin count was <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/rugby/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /> scoffed the sausage rolls and choc shake post-leech, as well vs a mini mars bar.

After lunch was more snacking (choc chip bikkies etc), more milk, more chocolate, and then my bro came over so I bbq roasted a leg of lamb with spuds, bread roll, and carrots. Followed that up with pie, custard, cream, and ice cream. By then I was spent.

That has honestly given me pause for future DDO activity, especially given there are only 5 weeks left in this cycle.

Tonight I got back into the push-ups - back to Week 4 Day 1:

Set 1: 21 ok.
Set 2: 25 ok with a rest at the top on 17
Set 3: 21 ok, with rest at bottom on 12 and 17
Set 4: 21 ok with rest at bottom on 12, 15, 18
Set 5: 12 ok, 20 on knees.

On Wednesday I'm going to try the same day, but with 90 seconds between sets as per W4D2. Need to move forward with this thing!

Finished with myotatics and cat voms, with a bit of kata practice at the end to clear the mind.

Also, bought myself a little angle grinder at Bunnings t'other day, so I can start to think about making those dip bars in the garage with a little more panache.

That was a pretty extreme day - no mystery how i got to 125kg in the first place. As I said, it gives me pause; I consider the DDO a genuine cornerstone of my weight loss, and would not be where I am today without it.

But there are long term ramifications to this sort of thing. I can well understand the shock my system was in for the next 24 hours, based on the output of my digestive tract and the sugar/carb hangover my brain was experiencing. Despite the fact I got the weight back, the implications for diabetes and cholesterol are serious.

I posit that at this stage of my weight loss cycle, I can no longer afford a Diet DAY Off, given the goal I have set (90kg by December 1).

Rather, I should aim for a Treat Meal as others do, and limit the damage to 5% of the time rather than the 14% I've been undertaking.
It must have been pretty funny to watch but yeah I think you took the concept of treat day a bit too far (:
Still, the fact that your body reacted the way it did shows that you're doing pretty much everything else right. It can't be easy in Australia because there is heaps of tempting shit to eat over there.

Worst place to do that would be Hawaii I reckon. No wonder the shirts are so popular and come in such huge sizes cos there are heart attacks on a plate on every corner. Those Jack in the box burgers sure are good though washed down with 20 or so Budweisers. No wonder I arrived in the UK close to 110kg.

I can relate to that exactly Nick!!
Have my kids every second weekend and no matter how I try to monitor it by the time I drop them back on Monday the good work has been undone.
Much easier now to get it back to a respectable weight after a blowout though.....

Congrats on cracking 95!! Its where I'm at as well right now.
Love the moment when you crack it then run around the house naked yelling out FIGJAM FIGJAM!!!

Yeah now i want to grab 90 and kick the shit out of it.

To lean down to the level I want, i'm probably looking at the 87kg mark I reckon, which out of interest is still overweight (26.9) on the BMI scale, not that I'd pin all my hopes on that given my barrelsome shape. But under 90 is probably my comfort level before smashing the serious weights to chisel right down.

I think every All Black is obese to seriously obese via those BMI things. Maybe Aaron Smith might not be. I think I am still obese by that measure when I am at about 2% bodyfat....

Its weird isnt it that in the warmest places where people are more likely to show off heaps of skin you get the fattiest food and fattest people.

Bart - what is your non-comp body fat %? I don't have those kind of scales but reckon, based on the photo charts, that I'm probably still over 20% at my current weight and shape.

Karate tonight, but wasn't too physically strenuous so did floats when I got home:

90s hold, 60s rest
60s hold, 30s rest
30s hold, 60s rest
60s hold, 90s rest
60s hold is where i lost it after that - combination of burning abs and lower back strain.

Still, 5 minutes of planking ain't bad.

Did a few stretches afterwards and some breathing exercises.

last weigh in on my scales had it at about 12 something. Would be less now, and when I used to weight myself with those scales on the same days as nutritionist visits, where I would get the measurements and calipers done, they were usually 3% more. so would probably be about 19 or 10%, which rings about true as my Lean mass at last measure before the bicep blow out was 81 or 82 kilos. ten percent of that (ish) puts me to 90 kilos, and I think I weighed in just under 90 on my last visit to the scales!!

so lets say 10%, that sounds good enough anyway.
