A hard weekend of socialising had me waking up on monday feeling pretty bad and bloated so made sure the burpees, cheat curls and dips got a good thrashing today. Was literally seeing stars after the curls, fark those are brutal.

Perhaps it's all in my mind but the jeans felt a bit tighter after so much overindulgence as well, hoping detoxing, eating right and sleeping well will alleviate this soon.

I'm only talking a matter of days Bart so all going well the strict eating and cardio I've embarked on should see some results quicksmart !

Crikey, chucked the jeans on and they're feeling looser after a day and a half of strict ( but not anal NTA ) eating and four hard out burpees sessions through the day. Not back at work til thursday so gonna do the same til then as well as rip em out every morning before I head in.

Will even try and persuade my boys to do them with me.

Well had a Burpees day off on the Saturday but have tabata'd these bad boys every morning since then. Always aim for 11 on the first set and gradually they fade towards the end, in the last couple I barely get off the ground . Fuck these things are brutal and yet it's less than 4 minutes of working out ! The shower sure feels nice after I crawl up there to get ready for work. I've realised to get to 100 I'll need to do a four sets of 13 and four sets of 12 which ain't happening any time soon ! I'd be ripped to the fucken bone if I could though so it's definitely a goal, however tough.....

yeah the burpees I incorporate into my workouts (at the end) are particularly brutal that 10 is a real struggle!

Have decided Monday, Wednesday and Fridays are the way to go for these. Even though I do them on the carpet I'm finding the bouncing is tough on my knees ( after all no point doing em unless you are gonna jump as high as possible ) despite a few minutes of feeling like I'm gonna keel over and die they do make me feel fresh for hours afterwards I have to admit.

My new job is gonna be a serious test of willpower, afterwork drinks tend to happen EVERY day and there is an unlimited supply of free pies in the freezer. They are Steak and Cheese with no onions, peas, carrots or any of that shit in them. Sadly they are fucken delicious, help keep me honest boys !!!!!!

Be strong, be strong. Think of all that time you smash yourself at the gym and all those burpies. Do you want that to be all for nothing? What was it Jason Stevens said to Brad Thorn? Something about being more of a man if you can resist temptations than if you simply give into them.

I recently started a new job and got more than a few startled looks when I took my son's old Winnie the Poo lunchbox into the cantine with me. I'm sure there were also the odd muttering when I refused the cake and ice creams that are passed round each week. But now they seem to respect that and even ask for food and training tips.

I rarely buy lunch, 3 days a week I have couscous, cherry tomatoes, beetroot and tuna (sweet Thai chilli, chilli and mango, lemon and pepper etc) or chicken.

One other day I have a fruit day, the other I have bread.

Have fruit and other 'snacks' during the day (pretzels are quite good, far less fat, sugar & salt than chips, and take longer to eat) like a cereal bar, yoghurt.

Remembered to bring the Green tea to work, although without the honey & lemon or grapefruit it isnt as appealing

                                Merry New Year all,

First update since farkin forever but have been trucking on. Started 2013 with some good old wide grip dips then supersetted them with chins, tricep extensions ( standing ) and bicep curls. I expect to start the new year with some trembly as fuck arms. Burpees tomorrow to work up a sweat before breaky.....I haven't done these in damn near two weeks so am dreading them already to be honest. Weight disappointingly snuck up over the break ( 98kg ) but jeans fit the same so perhaps might be muscle ( he said hopefully ). Inevitably I have drunk every day during the break but no where near as much as I have in previous Xmas/NY breaks. A couple of cold ones do go down a treat afterall.....

For the last six months my standard Breakfast has become one bowl of porridge, two boiled eggs, a short black and 400 mls of water. Lunch more often than not is tuna, beetroot and cucumber on Vogel. I no longer take any whey protein (can't justify or afford it) and haven't sprinkled sugar on anything for yonks. As a result I've dropped about 8 kgs in the last three months.

Great work RB, porridge is counted as "slow release" carbs or something isn't it ? I think thats how people promote it being good for you.
Meant to mention that my shoulders handled that workout pretty well, mind you not being at work at the moment caking them in Deep Heat is a bit more socially acceptable.

Salmon and Green Tea for brekky, Salmon and Geen tea for lunch and schnitzel, home made chips and greens for dindins tonight. Belted out 100 burpees this morning, not my best time but sweating bucketloads considering I ain't done em for awhile. Last twenty I barely got off the ground......

Trying to resist the urge to have a couple of boundary road craft beers with dinner. The "Sticky wicket" is particularly delightful. Fuck it is a nice drop.

I've had a beer every night with dinner his week. Bad habit but at least it's low carb so only 105 calories and fits my macros

More of the dips, chins, burpees shit as usual. House sitting a pad up in Oriental bay and a couple of power walks up the hill to get there has been good for me too. Latest weigh in a tad under 98kg. In the last couple of days have been drinking green tea like its going out of fashion, unfortunately have slipped up a tiny bit with eating ( pizza and Maccas on successive days ) but aiming to be good from here on in. The pie machine at work isn't gonna get any visits from me.....
