Just imagine if Smith and Warner were on the same field. A battle of the verbals between two midgets.

I’d love to see Smith fire Warner up enough that he has a crack at him just before BBBR steps in for his team mate and squashes him like the maggot he is!

Smith is tiny by rugby standards but is probably much bigger and stronger than Warner.

A good win to the Landers but boy did they throw some meat pies out there, they gave away a lot of possession via missed/loose passes. Lucky the Stormers couldn’t translate possession into points.

The new ruck laws sure appear to have added to the speed of the game. I believe they will ultimately benefit NZ sides who are usually very fit and benefit from a quicker pace.

It will be interesting to watch how coaches and teams adapt to these laws.

I also cannot recall any or many scrum resets? Not sure
if this is as a result if new laws or playing under the roof.

What an athlete and player A Smith is, he played 80 fast paced minutes and still looked fresh. He really is the conductor of this team, he is constantly talking and organising on D and attack. When he plays well so does the team.

What a watch!!!! haha. pretty rubbish really but possibly due to having the week off, not good timing and have another one is 4 weeks I think.
what was evident was they were creating space but just accuracy was crap, passes to ground etc. that first half was diabolical! hopefully will get timing back
Aaron is just impressive, back to his best and same with BFA, that try saver on Rhule he made it look so easy. my sleeper in the backs in Walden, looks bigger and stronger but plays as a playmaker. He almost looks like his coach when he played!
Also Squire is just physically impressive, you watch him and he is just awesome and complemented by Hunt and Whitelock.
Be an interesting battle next week.

Wait, are we trying to ret-con Barretts ordinary season and apportion the blame to smith? Who played bloody good?

@mariner4life for A Smith, there is good, then there is good...the form he is at present is up there with his best of circa 2015

What are you talking about, world rugby player of the year two years running!

But meaningless awards aside, if we're going to get Beauden standing flat against a rush defense then A Smith in that kind of form can only help. Beauden needs space and didn't get much last year.

@rocky-rockbottom that sounds like some top notch Charlie to keep you up for 90 odd minutes!

Kitshoff might be my favourite prop now.

That young Stormers' 10 looks handy.

From the games I've seen, it seems the SA teams are playing more attractive rugby this season.

A.Smith is so annoying. Wish he was being annoying on my team. Been the best player in the comp in these early rounds.
