Chiefs v Blues

Blues still have no idea what they are doing on defence. Only marginally better on attack, people getting each other’s way, passes consistently making the catcher pause.
Individual effort has mostly been good. That, plus the Chiefs penalties(7-3), keeping this close -
@duluth Helps a lot that they have a 7 who is tackling and putting some ruck pressure on, and a halfback who is not getting pushed off the ball.
@tim agree about Ruru, way more physical than Nock, hope Tana does not make changes for the sake of changes

Reminder that the Blues have led a lot of NZ teams at halftime ...
Still can't shake a feeling of impending doom about it...
I cannot believe I’m typing these words, but I think we might be fucked without Dmac.
Marty McKenzie, prove me wrong.

Interesting to see how quickly penalty goals have come back in fashion. Blues have just kept in touch and got their points when they have been down the Chiefs' end of the field.

It seems the NZ teams have been watching the Sharks M.O. in as much as they accumulate points each time they are on offer.

Average from Duffy..

WTF - surely a knock-on?
-
And this is why we lose these games giving away penalties at scrum time on attack. It very nearly cost us too.

I’d like him much more if he looked for support after making a break, rather than trying to go all pine tree.

Faiane attempted tackle on Sowakula was nothing short of embarrassing
