How many times has a Chiefs pass been partially intercepted or knocked back by a Jaguares hand tonight?
    At least 7 or 8 I reckon.
There has been a lot of flinging the ball in hope and not a lot of finesse or timing.

    Well done Jaguares.
Pleased to see them doing well, but fuck did it really have to come against two limp dicked performances from NZ teams?

fuck, I hate the Argie fluffybunnies with their introduction of hollywood acting into rugby, irked me in the TRC and now in Super Rugby. Though there was only one instance of hollywooding (an obstruction call that was milked by a Jag player dying when running into a Chiefs player), and they deserved the win, they are still a fucking team of fucks who fuck over fucking fuck fuckity fuck. FUCK

      P.S: Chiefs sucked today

You reckon that was a deliberate infringement? Looked to me he was just trying push - he wasn’t the cause of the infringement. But I only saw the one replay, will have to break it down G&G style after the game ...

He's driving at an angle where the lead Jaguare player was only ever going to fold in.

Not sure about that first yellow card. Sure it’s always a yellow now under the rules, but when people put themselves in that position I’m just a little bit wary of it.

Allardice stepped sideways and put out his arm. It's entirely his fault. Had he stayed bound to the ruck, it wouldn't have happened.

Watched a replay of it and I think he actually joined on the last Chiefs player in the ruck.

Either way, the Chiefs were a shower of shit tonight.

            No. Just no.
Don’t even go there (thinking they’ll be as shit as the Chiefs)

Jaguares were really great. Their tight defence was impressive. There was a lot of space out wide but the Chiefs couldn't exploit it. The Chiefs couldn't recycle the ball with quick ball because they got done in tight. Getting done in tight plus a rush defence doesn't give you much chance out wide. Also the Jaguares kicked the ball very well.

I still feel if it wasn't for the yellows, the Chiefs probably win the game. 50 minutes is the time a lot of NZ teams pull away. When you lose 10 minutes like that, when the players come back it is 20 to go, you are losing, physically shattered and the other team can see the finish line.

The thing I like about that sort of game is it is a great example of what test rugby is like. Some teams in Super Rugby are so poor you don't really need a game plan. You can just beat them by being better than them. You have dominance and your backs can carve them up at will. You win those games and you learn good ball skills. However, you don't learn how to break a team down or how to counter teams who are trying to stop you from playing.

@hydro11 I also think the Chiefs just strayed from their familiar game plan - their natural exuberance, identifying the space, quick ruck ball and offload to the gas-man on the flank.
They were notably subdued in the first half especially.

So, does it put the Blues win last week in perspective? Heavy injuries and a second string outfit who can't implement a game plan?

Full credit to the Jaguares. I think we can now say that their introduction to SR two years ago was justified (unlike the Moondogs).

2016 - Wikipedia tells me they beat the Chiefs but lost to the Highlanders.

The Sharks did it in 2009 (Chiefs and Blues). Haven't done a comprehensive look to see if anyone's managed it since.

Sharks in 2014 might be the last time a team won its regular season games in NZ?

They beat the Crusaders and Blues (they lost a playoff game in NZ later that year)

Reds did it in 2013 too
