@no-quarter very smart by TJ distracting the ref with it though, otherwise it was a YC all day.

THe effort to try to regather the ball and the video of him being tackled saved him.

Because if he hadn't been held, he would have been very close to catching the ball, right? So a slight hold(and fortunately obvious in the TV replay) is the difference between sanctions of a knock on scrum, and a YC and penalty? Is something wrong there?? and its only because TJP really demanded it the Ref considered it? We don't want half backs feeling more entitled to referee the game than they do already.

TJ was the captain tonight. He had every right to talk to the ref like that.

So - if the choice is between Milner-Skudder and Lam for the fifth outside back slot
(after Rieko, BFA, Jordie and Waisake) - who's it to be?

@infidel That's an option as well and if Ben is to make it, that might have to be his route.

    Those two offer similar things.

I doubt that’s in Hansen and co’s thinking. If Naholo even has one good hamstring they select him...

    Naholo is a certainty IMO.

Lam might get an opportunity in the June series to prove himself to see if he makes it for the 4Ns

Just watching the replay. My favourite bit of that early blam try is Hansen's dedication to the nose rub.

Wow. Shocking not straight and shocking forward pass for the last reds try. Oh dear Ben.

@dingo he has attempted to take the ball, so he is deemed to either have the ball or not....if not then YC, if so then legitimate tackle, you can't call him as being tackled without the ball the...same as when you get passed the ball and fumble it but a tackle prevents you regathering....no penalty there either

I would prefer they tried him before bringing Pat T back in.

I hope they they aren't thinking of playing Fifita as a lock. He has too much Isaac Ross about him for my liking.

Havent read the thread. Anyone else think Proctor looks fucking average without Laumape?

I think he looks average every game, never been too excited about him to be honest. Would much rather see Aso there, when fit.

Pretty sure we've seen that one before. Isn't it called "opposition score loads if tries"?

Aso is an exciting runner but his defensive lapses when he plays in midfield would be unacceptable at the international level.
