Highlanders vs. Hurricanes

Landers the better team by miles. Canes pack beaten up two games in a row, and backs unable to bail them out against an organised defense.
Biggest positive for me from that game is the Smith brothers showing some good form leading into the tests.
The break has come at a good time for the Canes. Let them stew on that for a couple of weeks then come out firing.
Bring on the ABs.

What summed up the difference for me,was Squire driving back Shields 5 x metres and Naholo pinching the turnover..

Canes should feel even worse than last week.
Its one thing to be smashed by Crusaders in the wet - its another to be smashed by the Landers under the roof - including conceding a try when the opposition is down to 14. Title hopes in real danger now.
Canes powderpuff pack smashed. Evans played his worst game of the season - did not look AB quality.

Entertaining game even if some of the rugby wasn't the best.
Canes pack got bullied for the second week in a row. He will get shit on here but i thought Ardie was the only one that stood up.
Naholo showed why he is an AB and Lam isn't. He was anonymous as was Laumape, TJP, J Savea and NMS.
Jordie and BB not much better.
Ricky ricky probably the worst of the bunch.Think Squire will be very lucky if he doesn't get sat down for a few weeks. That tackle that led to the Savea punch is a straight red these days. But again the bullshit inconsistency of reffing strikes.
Just on the "punch", from that wide shot it didn't look like he was punching anywhere near Squires head because RR was in the way. Did he punch him in the guts? I think i saw the first Squire clean out that people have mentioned but didnt catch a replay. Anyone notice what time it occured?Not that it matters but Jordie wasn't offside for that non try. Ball deflected off bus who was retiring but there was no ruck. Ball went back to Jordie who ran away with it.
AB Frizell got all of 7mins. I stilldon't know how the fuck he gets in ahead of Akira.

The ref even penalised him.Considering that Shag has already said in public that stupid behaviour has to go and that he is disappointed that 'his' players are involved, that will be a black mark against Squire.
Maybe bringing back Messam would fill any gap from suspension? He is playing as well as any other 6/8 in the country at the moment and has enough experience to slide back into the AB camp.

@pukunui it’s not the first time the Canes pack has been bullied this year,not just the Saders game last week,but if you think back to the Sharks game,they were totally owned by the Sharks pack,and even in home games against the Sunwolves and Reds for long periods they were more than matched..but when you have got some rock star backs,they can get you out of a jam.

Since when does it need to be intentional ?
Swinging arm to the head is meant to be red these days. Well according to what they tell us the rules are now anyway.
I don't agree with it and my main gripe is with the inconsistency of the application either by the ref or the citing officer.
