A similar thing happened earlier in the year. Kiri Kiri started with Taramai on the bench

@duluth is odd, I always thought once a full squad member was available, they must play and the injury replacement player is gone
@taniwharugby it might depend who the injury replacement is covering for.
For example - Kirikiri might have been brought in whilst Papali'i was injured so whilst Taramai was on the bench - Kirikiri could start because he was covering for Papali'i who wasn't available. Tumua Manu might be the replacement for Caleb Clarke this week etc

Also interesting to see full squad member Nanai is not in the 23 whilst Tumua Manu is starting.
I think Tana is sending messages to the likes of Nanai and Faiane.

Yes essentially. I know Nanai is signed for another year but Umaga has been talking up Papali'i's attitude this week meanwhile you've got full squad members not being picked.

well, the weather looks like it'll be horrific, and one of the boys is sick, but I'm going to womble down anyway. Not sure there will be many there - QB weekend, the rebels, shit weather and a poor team to support. This coudl be a new low for the franchise.

Two times in 22 and they look dangerous. Blues having all the play. Confusing to watch
@98blueandgold Rebels look like scoring every time they get in our half and we look clueless when we have it. This could get ugly for the Blues.

He was replaced,looked like a leg injury of some sort,had to be supported off the field..not looking good for the Blues,without a couple of their guns,makes me puck to think that Reiko is sitting in the stand after a fucking bye week

@booboo you got that right,Briant has missed a couple of clear mistakes,how Tamanis pass that was thrown forward leading up to the rebels try has got me beat ..
