    Day 21<br />
    <br />
    Weight in day - the scales stoped at 130kgs, which I think is another kg off.  The gut measurement is provving difficult - I measured it at 123cm but the wife has 124cm when she had a go?<br />
    <br />
    No exercise yesterday but like to think I overcompensated by eating very healthily, including baked stiffed squid for dinner.<br />
    <br />
    Started back on the exercise this morning.

    Good work big lad - as for the measurement, I find that I do the measurement in a mirror so I can make sure the tape measure is in the same position every time. I use the horizontal plane around the belly button to make it the same every time. Try not to suck it in the paunch either 'cos you're only cheating yourself <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

    Days 22 – 28 <br />
    <br />
    I have fallen off the wagon well and truly.  I knew it was coming, with the wedding and all, but even still it was disappointing.  Back on the wagon again today.<br />
    <br />
    Weigh in tomorrow morning – I expect that I will be a gainer for the last week.<br />
    <br />
    Back on the straight and narrow now.

    Weigh in this morning (1 day late) and the scales stopped at 130kgs.<br />
    <br />
    Very happy with this given the eating drinking and lack of exercise in last week (although I did manage a jog at one stage).<br />
    <br />
    Am back on the healthy eating routine now and started exercising again this morning.  Next stop 120kgs!

    Went for jog last night and have strained calf muscle.  <br />
    <br />
    Will take it easy for next few days now.

    Yes I've been doing that isometric ab thing - holding in my gut - since I was about 14 and you don't even notice you're doing it after a while.

    Great work mark! 👏 9kgs lost and 1.5kg in a week is a damn good effort mate. Keep it going. <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':lol:' />

    Week 10 (I think)<br />
    <br />
    The scales stopped at 125kgs this morning.  Not too surprising as my exercise has been down and my eating has been all over the place in the last week.<br />
    <br />
    Back into the routine now so should be on track again next week.

    Week 11<br />
    <br />
    The scales stopped at 125kgs this week so its back on the strict diet to get moving in the right direction.  BTW I was at the doctor's today and she told me of an alternative measurement to BMI which she thinks I should us.<br />
    <br />
    Basically my waist (measured over belly button) should be under 100cms, or if it is under, then it should be 90% of the distance around my hips.  She measured mine at 109cms.  Apparently the thinking is that weight around the gut is a better indicator of health rather than weight overall.
