@Canes4life it's also exciting when your team wins multiple titles...oh wait.

@KiwiMurph the excitement has surely worn off after 16 years hasn't it? Although I suppose you haven't had much to get excited about since your last title.

Fark yeah, feels good not to have pity. That shit sucked.

Now is the moment the Blues go full Temple Of Doom and pluck our beating hearts out by breaking Reiko and/or Akira on Saturday night ... or MacDonald gets poached to the ABs ... or we get a combo of JK, Tana and Jed Rowlands selecting and coaching

ha. Panadol replaced by cartel of Tana, JK and Michael Collins as player/coaches.

Akira signs overnight for the Bristol Bogsnot Barnacles, effective immediately.

Wouldn't it be worse if Akira and Reiko sign for the Crusaders?

@Rocky-Rockbottom Haha and we've still got a crap record of 2 from 5. Imagine if we actually had more wins than losses.

@Duluth that's a decent 23, with a very strong bench. Hope we score another dubya

Jeez, Robinson still getting minutes...I know he is a hard worker and fit as fuck, but first seaosn of Super rugby he is doing well (7 players over 300 mins - Akira, Nanai 400, Robinson 390, Faiane 370, Rieko 345, Parsons 342, Goodhue 329)

Only Akira and Nanai with more than him this year so far for the Blues.

@taniwharugby it will be interesting to see how Robinson and Blues handle this weekend - after coming off a win and a bit of hype around the team (and Robinson getting a fair bit of press) - will be interesting to see how they handle some expectation - hopefully they haven't spent the week reading their news clippings!

Gibson is only getting through ~60mins since returning from injury. Because they need to sub him they have to keep Papalii on the bench.
Hopefully Gibson can be trusted with more minutes soon. Then we can start rotating the loosies more. We can't play Akira and Robinson into the ground

Ioane, who has six tries in two matches but due for an All Black rest week, was always going to start after training during the week. With fellow wings Caleb Clarke and Matt Duffie returning from injury via the Blues' second team, Ioane could miss next weekend's visit of the Waratahs.

I actually haven't been as enamoured by him as others on here (ginga-ism maybe?), up until the most recent game I thought he was busy but not entirely effective - but against the Highlanders he was both. Hopefully he keeps it up.

                                        Jeez, Robinson still getting minutes

So far he's only had one below par game (Sharks)

Gibson is only getting through ~60mins since returning from injury. Because they need to sub him they have to keep Papalii on the bench.
Hopefully Gibson can be trusted with more minutes soon. Then we can start rotating the loosies more. We can't play Akira and Robinson into the ground

I actually haven't been as enamoured by him as others on here (ginga-ism maybe?), up until the most recent game I thought he was busy but not entirely effective - but against the Highlanders he was both. Hopefully he keeps it up.

Seems to have a fair bit of upside, and for a rookie he's going really we.

Really happy to see Scrafton on the bench. Still not sure who our preferred first five is; maybe this is an extended season long trial, but I've made my thoughts on selectors pickign someone clear before. Not going to be too much of a broken record.

looks like Rieko will be rested v Tahs then.

@KiwiMurph Hmm would have rested him for this game tbh as the Waratahs pose a massive aerial threat and despite liking Telea's work so far this year, I'm not very confident about him under the high ball. Would much rather have Rieko and Duffie on the wings for next week to help counter Folau in the air

Oh, and I'm in Auckland for the weekend so can't wait to go along to this one :smiling_face_with_open_mouth: . Better get a win as I'm travelling far enough to watch it haha.
