Obviously the scales are a good way of measuring progression but I feel there's a bit too much of an attention on that. The most important thing should be getting the right balance in terms of exercise, diet and enjoyment. Get a plan in place then ignore the scales for a while. Will get a bit manic checking them all the time and that's not helpful.

You are right about that. I decided this morning that I am reverting to Thursday weigh in day only!

I use an app that smooths out daily fluctuations so you don't get disheartened when it goes up. As long as it's trending down, it's all good.

Weekly weighins is a good idea.

@Hooroo Happy Scale. I like it because you set a target, and it breaks it down into ten milestones. Sort of breaks it up into what feels like attainable chunks.

thanks @Kirwan have downloaded both of those apps. Wasn't pleased that happy scale told me I should be 76 fucking kg at my upper BMI weight range. Boo!! ha ha but I know it'll be super useful for tracking change - now that I've updated it to a genuine weight goal!!

Re fasting - what ranges/durations are you guys going for? I've been roughly following a 12 one from when I last eat in the evening. So that can be from 8-9pm onwards. I have been trying to pull that back to 7.30pm latest but that hasn't been easy to stick to. Going to run with the 13 hour option but not from sunset - rather from when I last eat.

@Paekakboyz it all depends on what you are going for, I'm trying to get weight off so started with 16/8 and am currently doing 20/4. Managed to get the last meal around 6.30/7pm at the moment, but I always ate early thanks to the kids.

@Paekakboyz when I did fasting years ago I did 16/8 with my 8 hour feeding window from 12-8pm which worked well for lunch meetings at work as well of course family dinners etc. Also only did it on weekdays and ate regularly on weekends.

    Lost weight easy

@Hooroo how are you tracking bro?

Wanted to give the lads a shout out about that fasting app. Magic stuff! Toying with moving on from a 13 hour window now that I am getting the hang of it. Find that I'm doing at least an hour extra most days. Only 1-2 days where I've had a late night snack and had to wait till after midday to eat.

True-love is doing it and loving it.

I am two notches on the belt better but haven't weighed myself. Gym is yet to start too as been too busy/slack. Paying for it though, so that makes me nice and angry

Ok so started at 131.9 and weighed this morning in at 127.4.

Happy with that as done through no real hardship and with a ten day holiday that didn’t even look at the diet.

If I can do a between 1&2 kg a week, that is good as I have not got any holidays planned in short term. Just one 3 day golf thing that will involve a lot of beer

Just don’t eat while drinking beer. Easy

Downloaded the android version too (zero) , app is great does exactly what it should but could I hack it!? Tried 16:8 and couldn't make it to lunch time, tried a second day and again wanted Raspberries and cup of tea with milk too badly. Are you guys doing it Everyday or should it be so many days of the week?

I am still mostly carb free though and already passed my "back of the closet" clothes test as opposed to scales... Also made me think how lucky you guys are to be happy to lose boobage, I can't go any further with weightloss so need to plateau or I start losing it in the wrong places!

Yoga from home tonight using YouTube but left it too late and now wide awake and trying not to holiday clothes shop. Thanks to the adverts that come up on the fern too by the way.🙄

Need to maintain now until July... Could totally ruin it if I'm not sensible.
