@nzzp Fair enough but I don't see it myself. This team just reminds me of the first 2 years under Tana where we're competitive but lack in the technical aspects up front. Jackson copped plenty of criticism for our failure at set piece time yet Coventry hasn't seemed to make any improvement in that area.

The Blues just can't dictate a game. I mean the Brumbies were just waiting for penalties to get them up the field and then relying on their scrum. You can't complain if your scrum is that bad and you lose. You just can't. Yet the Blues still could have won if they got a more open game. The Blues lost but I don't think the Brumbies actually played any rugby. They just did what they had to. Shit way to lose.

True but how many All Blacks do you need to have a good tight five? You should have enough there already. Obviously your scrum is normally better than that. The Hurricanes have a much worse tight five but we are better at playing to our strengths even if we are getting found out.

Yeah him and Ofa in particular where man handling people. Goal line defence was great.
Scrums and mauls were the massive, massive problem. And Black missed a couple of easy kicks.

@hydro11 As I said earlier Jackson couldn't sort it and now Coventry seems to have made no difference so far as well.
