@cgrant that second matchup alone should draw a big crowd.

@Chris it's not like the Blues are a dominant forward pack though so I doubt they will have much of an edge - just look at last week. Canes only need slight ascendency in their forwards and they will get the points like they have for the last five years against the Blues.
I think the biggest problem for the Blues is that mental toughness when the game is in the balance. They just don't seem to have the leadership to kick on in the big ones.
We will see though, this Blues side does seem slightly better than previous years so they could suprise.
@Canes4life I still think the Canes have looked vulnerable as The Crusaders have to be honest The Bulls worry me.
If you measure up the forward packs if The Blues don't come out ahead I am worried about our tight five for the WC there is 3 in the Blues who will be selected and if they get touched up by their Canes opponents we are Fucked for the WC.With Franks struggling aswell.

@Chris it's not Blues players I'm worried about. The two forwards we can't afford to lose for the W.C are Rettalick and Franks. If either one of them miss out on the Cup then we could be in tatters.

@Canes4life Thats what I mean you lose those 2 our bench players are in the Blues not very confident.Moodey has struggled take those 3 out god forbid. Look what's left. Big Karl,Ofsa,Pat T are in that 23

@Chris Yeah it is a massive worry - 100%. Could be a blessing that both Franks and Rettalick are on ice atm. Wouldn't hurt to keep them that way until a month out from the WC.

@Chris I think every other position we can handle an injury, however those two just seem too key and experienced to lose IMO.

Reading this thread really makes me want the blues to win.
MacDonald will have the tight forwards pumped up after last weeks debacle. We’ve seen Barrett shut down by the crusaders a few times when his tight five are getting a beatdown.

@SammyC no matter how many titles the Crusaders win, they will always do it by playing boring, structured rugby. Give me the flare of the Canes any day - they keep things exciting.

Crusaders have scored some great tries this year through Reece,Bridge,Jordan etc
That maybe true years ago but not now.@Chris Yeah but these guys have only come onto the scene. I have said in recent posts that the young crop of backs you have down there now could all become Crusader greats as is the class of some of them. Let's just hope the pack falls apart so things can even up.
