Some nice patience shown by the Blues for that try at half time. Only a few weeks ago you'd swear that they'd panic and find a way to stuff it up..

There's still time for the blues to stuff it up,

Just watched the highlight - looks a line ball -- tight, but probably just a line ball. Hard with that perspective to call it

I haven't seen anything from SBW in this game that justifies his inclusion in the ABs squad and leaving out (most likely) Laumape.

Yes, I know, it's early days.

Did I just watch 40 minutes of rugby without a single bit of niggle from Coles or Akira Ioane?

Even BBBR wasn't too niggly last night either ... NZ rugby getting soft!

He could have passed inside to Christie as well.

Really pleased with the props. Looks like we've got four decent options at LH now. We need a more consistent player than Mafileo at TH. Hope Renata can keep developing.

@Donsteppa I respectfully disagree. No need to lose key players in a meaningless game like this.

I guess it's the old 'preservation v momentum' situation for coaches to work through, they'd probably love both! 🙂

We saw the same thing with Nonu for years though - would just phone it in for Super, and then smash it at International level.

The ABs back themselves to et the best out of people, and you can see what SBW brings. Big, fast, offloading machine, with the track record not to choke under severe pressure. Risk is age, condition and actually getting some damn game time!

@African-Monkey Yup. It's those periods where they lose their pattern and gift possession to the opposition.
