We saw the same thing with Nonu for years though - would just phone it in for Super, and then smash it at International level.

Irrelevant, as SBW's not Nonu. If anything SBW was less effective at test level than Super, and at this rate if he is picked it would be in the place of a more deserving player.

ha ha ha. So, just to be clear, you don't think discussing the attributes of a midfielder who doesn't perform in Super is relevant. Righto, my bad.

Yep, your bad, both for first suggesting SBW should be picked even though he has been ordinary because he'll miraculously somehow get better in black like a totally different player, and for the terrible attempt at a strawman argument above.

      Surprised that Plummer caught Lowe.

@Dice Lowe played 40 minutes of club rugby last week, after 4 months out. Probably needs a bit more time to get back to full speed.

Stuff it, I've turned this off. Done for the night. Going to go and hammer some nails into my balls, or flog myself with rusty barbed wire, or watch parliament TV, or something that's less goddamn painful than watching this.

Two past U20s hookers - neither of who can ducking throw. Who is training them? Or are they lazy? There are only really two options...

At halftime i thought that game was buried.

But once the Canes hit the front, the result never looked like being overturned, despite the close score

Some nice patience shown by the Blues for that try at half time. Only a few weeks ago you'd swear that they'd panic and find a way to stuff it up..

There's still time for the blues to stuff it up,

It’s fucking flabbergasting how the Blues just continued to make shit decision after shit decision - some of those ‘exits’ were more than embarrassing. I’ll admit that they had a few hard calls against them though. Nevertheless, the Canes were very very good - excellent win.

Blues still have leaders and playmakers who make poor decisions. Plus the Coaches - no excuse for leaving Parsons on, a 40 minute player at best

                        Compusure and consistency missing- yep.
Both teams have some good young prospects though. And in the past previous Blues teams would have folded.

@ACT-Crusader did you see Williams got wrong footed on d for that try. Looked like he was protecting dodgy knee.

The worst part about that was the limp-wristed slap to the shoulder, instead of like being in position or going low.

That’s recruiting - still two or three administrators who need replacing - alongside a few players...

@kev they have leaders and playmakers who should not be leaders and playmakers in the team.

You know, with a change of coach and a bit of luck, next year the Blues could finish as high as 11th.

Nonu shouldn't have been on the bench. He's too old and has brought little in recent weeks.

Different week same tune - poor halfback play is costing the Blues badly. Canes are a good side and were always going to have their own run after the initial onslaught by the Blues.

So many close losses to the Blues this season which speaks volumes about the lack of a winning culture and composure. There are positive signs in their attack and even their defensive systems, but it’s that top 2 inches.
