It is now obvious how the Blues best forwards can get their hands on some domestic silverware.

    Go and play in France:

@sparky They should send Akira to Wellington. We will make him into the player he was meant to be 😉

@nzzp I can tolerate the odd handling error or even the odd overthrown line out or the over cooked line kick during general play simply because pressure is being applied by the opposition (sounding more like that halfwit Rod Kafer)

But what I can’t stand is the really dumb shit..
    Here’s the list.
A reverse pass to nobody ..!,
A 50/50 offload ,that’s why they are called 50/50 offloads.
Total neglect of a support player with a simple draw and pass.
A drop kick start that does not go 10 metres.
A Goal kicker with kicking average of under 70%
    A poor red zone exit
I should throw in poorly directed kick passes.
Running into contact with no support
Running into contact with no support
Thought I would mention the above twice, because that happens a lot,.
What every happened to knowing where the space is and then backing up..
A drop kick off that goes over dead ball line.
A line kick from a penalty that goes dead.
Pulling a maul down after you have been numerous times and you concede a penalty try and loose a player to the bin for 10

What’s frustrating about many of these ,with practice and attention to detail many of the above should be a big part of a players skill set.

I don't now about you guy's but I am sick of seeing the HB's Box kick not many do it well.
Ruru always kicks too deep.Even Hall is starting to do it too much, ok if used as an effective tool as a kick chase for winger, or an exit in some circumstances, but lately it has not been used effectively by most HB's and over done by everyone.

@Chris IIRC (I may be wrong), it was discussed in 1014 rugby a few weeks ago as a tactical alternative to the first five-eight's kick, to make the game less predictable for opponents. It did make sense, the way they discussed it, but obviously, it will only work if it is executed well.

@Chris players are becoming so dependable at taking high kicks ,its now starting to become such a low percentage play.
I really like the idea of long kick to grass with a really good line chase..play the game in the opposition half and if they kick back that’s your counter attacking opportunity..
Thought the Blues absolutely killed them selves last night by not finding touch..which would have been the obvious thing to do with a dis functional line out effecting the Canes once Amua had replaced Coles in the hooking role.

@Steven-Harris Totally agree the percentage of kicks neutralized by players skill sets this year far out way how effective the kicks made have been.
Chiefs have fed off the terrible kicking the last couple of games including the Crusaders to use their counter attacking strengths.
The Australian teams are terrible with their tactical kicking.

    Just seen the game

Impressed with Toala and Rayasi. Both look the goods. Very impressed esp for their first start.

Lam and Prinsep are not the best defenders. Not good enough really. And I'm not sure regarding defense of Umaga-Jensen as well. He had a good enough game though but ...

And Lowe not on for long but not impressed at all. He looks slow and lacks size.

    Bring back Andy Ellis 😎

He and (early) Weepu were probably the best I’ve seen at it in the last decade.

Here you are posting on the Hurricanes versing Blues thread...

Which could be a thread about a couple of rugby teams in a poetry competition. I didn't actually realise that was a word but found it from this sauce:
    verse
    /vəːs/
    verbARCHAIC
    gerund or present participle: versing
speak in or compose verse; versify.
"he began to verse extemporaneously in her ear"

Thread diversion complete - I will now Blexit (so still here really).
