More tinkering from Maddock. Need to have a look at the CRFU site to see if there's any explanation but that aside, I wonder why Ennor hasn't been locked in at centre with Bateman at second five-eighths. And still persevering with McLeod on one wing.

Rameka Poihipi, Tim Bateman and Dallas McLeod will line up at second five-eighth, centre and right wing respectively, with Braydon Ennor and Sam Gilbert both ruled out through injury this week, and Inga Finau moving to the reserves.

Thanks; this makes sense of it all now.

Still, I wonder where Osborne is? One appearance out of the blue and gone again!

@shark Looking at instagram, he's very busy training in the Canterbury gym with Manasa Mataele and Junior Ratuva.

Manawatu the first to score, a bit against the run of play. Canterbury dominated thus far, but Manawatu's defence has been on point.

Laumape showing his class several times.

    The Poo leads 7 - 0.

Anyone who thinks Ngani Laumape is one dimensional just needs to watch the first 18 mins of this game. He has been brilliant.

@Stargazer thinking of Hurricanes starters at LH next year. I forgot about Fraser Armstrong, he's probably the front runner.

@Canes4life Yeah, probably in 2020 he still will be, while Rakete-Stones is still learning.

The two syrups on the wing are pretty useless.

Manawatu leading 20 - 0 after 30 minutes. Who would have thought?

@Canes4life He might be an injury away from getting a SR call-up, next season.

Booth has a bit of toe. He caught up to Taylor quite easily, whereas those Cantab players were struggling.
