Great. It could well be purely frenchies in charge from here. Fuck you Wales.

Nigel won't be reffing the other semi (I don't reckon Peyper will be either) and Barnes won't be reffing ours. Garces could do either.

Assuming that they choose from the four QF refs.

Gardner and Poite would probably be the others who might be considered - they can do both.

Christ on a bike I hope not. Who's the younger of the French refs?

I picked Wales to win by 6. And I feel dirty with that result.

France were the better side, and Vaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaminha's elbow aside, they would have won easily.

He actually said that? All this time and I thought he had absolutely no self awareness.

Some brutal honesty from Gatland in his after match speech.

Interesting from Gatland, that France did things differently to expectations, and Wales weren't prepared

68 minute. 5 metres from Wales line. Right in front of the posts.

There is an absolutely blatant PK for a tackler not rolling away and getting in the way of the ball coming out. The tackler smothers the ball and it gets stuck in the ruck.

Ordinarily, Peyper would have blown the pea off his whistle and awarded a PK to France. Instead, he awards a scrum for unplayable.

So, did that Welsh guy get MotM just because he took the elbow that resulted in the red card? :man_shrugging:

                    @antipodean Raynal?

I reckon they'll just pick the two of the QF refs - who seem like the four most highly ranked to me.

We won't get Barnes - and I reckon they might try to avoid giving England Garces and us Nigel again - so my money is that we get Peyper.

Boks have to be favourites to win the Cup from here. Whoever wins the England AB semi is going to be battered.

How many times do we have to beat them in a World Cup? I think we’ll be pretty pleased to play them?

Think they're a more difficult opponent for you than Wales.

So your winning margin would be less than 12 points in the final

That’s the one I was blowing up about in the thread.
