You took us over the $100 NZD mark, so thanks everybody. Going to see how this settles down over February, then we move up to the next size server. This will double the CPU and RAM, and give us more bandwidth.
In terms of performance, memory is the bottleneck, so that should have a good impact. Duluth is also turning on metrics for this, so we can monitor this more closely.
I'll let Duluth talk in more detail about the new areas he's putting together, but there are more features inbound that will be particularly useful for the Super Rugby season.

You were asking for feedback from anyone that thinks this is a bad idea. I think it's a great idea, but, the only thing I'd say is that given people are paying I hope you don't feel more responsibility/pressure to keep delivering new features etc. Obviously the improvements you've been making are awesome, but also appreciate that you both have lives so I wouldn't want this to encroach on your personal lives too much.
I think I speak for everyone when I say we are pitching in to keep the site running, and away from the prying eyes of our overlords Google, so we don't expect you to suddenly increase your workload now that members are putting in a couple of dollars.
Really appreciate the effort you guys have put in to give us all a place to rant about our favourite sports (as well as other things).

Cheers. Most of the time if I'm adding stuff to the fern there's work reason for it.. for instance later this year I'm converting a large applications front end from angularjs to vuejs.
So while that self publish feature is useful for the site, it was more about me testing out a couple of things

Well - that decision flew by unnoticed, although I see it was announced during November, when I was laid up in hospital for a couple of weeks.
This is as stupid a political decision as I have seen, as is any concession to the medieval death cult. I haven't looked around much but I did see that immature Duchess of Auckland Mr Ed, who is evidently so widely loved she is likely to lead you through another three years of eroding your future, endorses the courageous, empathetic decision. That applause sounds alarm enough.

Cheers. Most of the time if I'm adding stuff to the fern there's work reason for it.. for instance later this year I'm converting a large applications front end from angularjs to vuejs.
