And the lineout kills us again!. I’m sure whitelock use to call them. With no squire, Dixon, Franklin etc just don’t look good enough in this area. Lack height both jumpers and lifters

@98blueandgold Who call the l/o now? Whetton and Selby-R?

Must say, the hookers didn't have a great night either. Coltman isn't exactly known for throwing well.

Coltman hasn’t been able to throw into a line out for 10 years but still manages to get selected

@Stargazer not sure, Whetton a lock/6 with no experience, parete a 6,3 lock, tuu and TBN both 8s so can’t think of who wld. Really lack to technical skills in area with make up of jumpers and lifters.

@98blueandgold I think I saw Whetton make the calls before leaving the field. Just not sure who took over when he went off.

Only got to see the last 20. Just saw the Lentjes injury on the news, shit looked sore poor dude. Landers seemed to shit the bed when they were close to score.

Highlanders just lacked the execution to give up 21 points and then another intercept and still win. Highlanders probably had the better of the game but their lineout and two late yellow cards were costly. You leave yourself a lot to do when you give up that sort of lead. You can dominate the rest of the game and still lose.

@hydro11 That's spot on. Also hard to chase the game if you are being beaten at the set piece. Really impressive effort from the Rebels, I didn't think they would get close in this one.

Matt Toomua has to feature in the Wallaby midfield. I thought he controlled the game nicely, kicked well too.

Enjoyable watch this one. Damn A Smith is a machine, just lacking some star support to get them over the line.

I don't understand the selection decisions. Seems like the Highlanders are trying to challenge the Canes for the worst 10, although F Smith might have something to say about that.
Ioane is not a 12, and it is just silly to play him there.

I was impressed by Selby-Rickit when he came in. He's a bit skinny so I wonder if he can scrum effectively. But he is super strong in the air and not a bad ball carrier.

@Darren not to mention that consistently one of the best and most influential players over the past couple of seasons is sitting on the bench... and he's a fucking 12! But yeah let's disregard how good Ioane was at 10 last year.
